ObjectiveUnder the guidance of OBE concept(Outcomes-basedEducation,outcome-oriented education),the teaching plan of "geriatric nursing" based on axis reversal training mode was constructed and its teaching effect was verified,so as to improve the nursing practice ability,empathy ability and autonomous learning ability of nursing students in higher vocational colleges(hereinafter referred to as higher vocational nursing students).Methods1.Construction of teaching plan:First of all,the related research on axis reversal was summarized through literature review.A questionnaire was used to investigate the empathy ability,autonomous learning ability,attitude towards the elderly and nursing learning needs of 411 trainee nursing students of grade 2019 in a higher vocational college in Henan province.The data were statistically analyzed by IBM SPSS Statistic 25.0 software.The comparison of the scores of autonomous learning ability of higher vocational nursing students with different characteristics through independent sample t-test,single factor analysis of variance and multiple linear regression analysis provides ideas for the construction of the teaching plan of this study.Secondly,under the theoretical guidance of OBE concept,competency-based education theory and autonomous learning theory,combined with the results of qualitative interviews with nursing students in practice,the first draft of the teaching plan is constructed,and the scheme is revised and perfected again after two rounds of consultation by 10 experts and the pre-experimental results of 6 higher vocational nursing students,and finally determines the test draft of the teaching plan of "senile nursing" for higher vocational nursing students based on the axis reversal training model.2.Implementation and verification of the teaching effect:This study conveniently selected the nursing students of Class 2020(two large classes)of a higher vocational college in Henan Province as the research object.By flipping a coin,119 students of Class 1,Class 4(a large class)were selected as the intervention group,and Class 5,Class 8(a large class)was selected as the control group.With the help of Blue Moyun class platform,the intervention group implemented the teaching plan of "geriatric nursing" based on axis reversal training mode,while the control group received routine teaching.Before and after teaching,questionnaires were sent out to compare the test scores of common nursing skills,empathy ability,autonomous learning ability,aging knowledge,attitude scale scores towards the elderly,resources utilization of Yunban course platform,teaching evaluation analysis and summary and reflection diary of the two groups of nursing students,and IBM SPSS Statistic25.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data.Independent sample t-test and analysis of variance were used for two groups of quantitative data in accordance with normal distribution.Nonparametric test is used to test the implementation effect of the teaching plan for the counting data that do not conform to the normal distribution.Results1.Teaching plan construction results:(1)The results of the current situation survey:A total of 423 questionnaires were sent out and 411 valid questionnaires were obtained,with an effective rate of 97.16%.The average scores of empathy,aging knowledge,autonomous learning ability and attitude towards the elderly were(101.93±0.75),(6.38±4.33),(91.37±10.64)and(154.65±16.8)respectively.Independent sample t-test,single factor analysis of variance and multiple linear regression analysis were used to compare the scores of autonomous learning ability of higher vocational nursing students with different characteristics.The results showed that academic achievement,willingness to work in geriatric nursing,gender and cognition of geriatric nursing course were important factors affecting the study of geriatric nursing course for higher vocational nursing students.(2)The results of qualitative interview:This part talks about 10 trainee nursing students in higher vocational colleges.Through analysis and extraction,there are 4 themes and 11 sub-themes,including poor learning effect of geriatric nursing course,poor practical ability of geriatric nursing,weak willingness to work,and holistic nursing ability of the elderly to be improved.(3)Form the test draft of the intervention plan:The first draft of the teaching plan of "geriatric nursing" for higher vocational nursing students based on axis reversal training mode was constructed on the basis of literature review,current situation investigation and qualitative interview.and through two rounds of expert consultation and pre-experiment to select 5 topics and 10 class hours of teaching content to form a test draft of the teaching plan of "geriatric nursing" for higher vocational nursing students based on the axis reversal training model.2.The implementation effect of the teaching plan:A total of 243 eligible subjects were selected in this study,and one college student was excluded from the study because of enlistment.The actual sample size was 242,including 118 in the intervention group and 124 in the control group.At the beginning of the semester,the general information,empathy ability(intervention group 100.29 ± 14.21,control group 101.07±14.37,P=0.676),autonomous learning ability(intervention group 91.68±11.38,control group 91.89±11.19,P=0.881),aging knowledge(intervention group 6.07 ±4.18,control group 6.81 ±3.81),attitude towards the elderly(intervention group 153.36 ± 16.78)were compared between the two groups at the beginning of the semester.There was no significant difference in the scores of 153.66 ± 16.65 and P=0.887 in the control group.After the intervention,the results are compared as follows.(1)Geriatric nursing skill score:The score of skill test in the intervention group(76.02 ± 14.51)was significantly higher than that in the control group(56.00 ±24.69)(P<0.05).The number of participants in the intervention group was more than that in the control group.(2)Empathy ability:The score of empathy ability of nursing students in the intervention group(108.77±16.70)was significantly higher than that in the control group(102.14 ± 16.76).Self-comparison showed that the score of empathy ability of nursing students in the intervention group was higher than that before intervention,and there was significant difference before and after intervention(P<0.05).The results of statistical analysis in the control group showed that there was no significant difference in the score of empathy ability of nursing students before and after the semester(P>0.05).(3)Autonomous learning ability:The score of autonomous learning ability of nursing students in the intervention group(98.89±11.08)was significantly higher than that in the control group(90.25±9.95)(P<0.05).There was significant difference before and after intervention in the intervention group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the score of autonomous learning ability in the control group(P>0.05).(4)The mastery level of aging knowledge:There was no significant difference in the score of aging knowledge between the two groups(15.32±4.62)in the intervention group and(15.22±3.66)in the control group(P>0.05).The results of self-comparison showed that there were significant differences between the two groups before and after the two stages(P<0.05).(5)Attitude towards the elderly:There was significant difference in the attitude score of nursing students to the elderly between the two groups(160.11±18.68 in the intervention group and 152.35 ± 16.61 in the control group).The self-comparison before and after intervention showed that the score of nursing students’ attitude towards the elderly in the intervention group was significantly higher than that before intervention(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the control group(P>0.05).(6)Resource utilization rate:The score of resource experience of nursing students in the intervention group(79.16 ±10.79)was higher than that in the control group(64.95±4.81).There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).(7)Teaching satisfaction:The survey of teaching satisfaction at the end of the semester showed that the satisfaction of the intervention group(96.61%)was higher than that of the control group(89.52%).(8)The result of reflection diary shows that the teaching scheme of "geriatric nursing" based on axis reversal training mode is helpful to improve the professional qualities of higher vocational nursing students,such as learning efficiency,practical ability,interpersonal communication,humanistic care and so on.Conclusion1.This study successfully constructed the teaching scheme of "geriatric nursing"for higher vocational nursing students based on axis reversal training mode,which is helpful to improve higher vocational nursing students’ senile nursing skills,empathy ability,autonomous learning ability and attitude towards the elderly,but the influence on theoretical achievement is limited.2.The teaching plan of "geriatric nursing" based on axis reversal training mode is helpful to increase the utilization rate of online resources,enhance the classroom participation of higher vocational nursing students,and promote the interaction between teachers and students.3.The teaching scheme of "geriatric nursing" based on axis reversal training mode is helpful to improve teaching satisfaction and improve the learning efficiency of higher vocational nursing students. |
