In recent years,food safety issues in China have frequently been exposed,severely affecting people’s health and confidence.The government has begun to attach importance to food safety issues and has taken a series of measures,including implementing a traceability systen.With the advancement of technology and the application of technology,enterprises can more conveniently achieve traceability and management of food.The government has also increased support for technological innovation and technology application,improving the efficiency and accuracy of traceability system implementation.This article uses literature review,field research,and interviews with technical personnel to conduct in-depth research on the Salt Lake Sheep,which is highly correlated with the regional economic development level.First,we elaborate the current situation and existing problems in the Salt Lake Sheep industry.Second,we analyze the problems with traditional traceability systems,namely,information opacity and a centralized system.Furthermore,we examine issues with traditional Salt Lake Sheep market regulation:information asymmetry,irregular livestock circulation,incomplete safety credit systems,and inadequate social supervision mechanisms.The application of agricultural Internet of Things can play an important role in each link of the Salt Lake Sheep supply chain,effectively improving the supervision efficiency of Salt Lake Sheep products,ensuring the quality and safety of Salt Lake Sheep products,and providing traceability.Afier analyzing the current research status of blockchain and agricultural integration at home and abroad,it is found that there are some problems with traditional traceability supervision.To solve these problems,this paper explores blockchain technology as an emerging data processing technology,its decentralized,immutable,and traceable characteristics are highly compatible with the development of agricultural breeding.Therefore,a traceability system based on blockchain technology can solve the supervision problems of the Salt Lake Sheep industry.Taking the first company to use blockchain+IoT technology in Ningxia as an example,this paper analyzes the causal mechanism of the company’s blockchain-reconstructed traceability system and the function display of the agricultural product traceability system based on blockchain technology.At the same time,this article also analyzes the advantages and operating effects of the traceability system constructed by the company.In the end,the company successfully constructed a traceability system that achieved full traceability of the Salt Lake Sheep breeding process and sheep source quality management full traceability of the Salt Lake Sheep production process,full traceability of the Salt Lake Sheep sales process,and online services for farmers.Through this analysis,it was found that the traceability solution based on blockchain technology developed by the company effectively ensured the safety of enterprise sheep sources,motivated.
