| From the end of the 19 th century to the beginning of the 20 th century,European and American countries were in a period full of transition and renewal,transformation and creation.At that time,the most important feature of society was the conflict and reconciliation between social and spiritual forms.At that time,the society had just experienced the first industrial revolution,and was in the process of intertwining the remnants of old things and the sprouts of new things.It was in urgent need of a new style to show emerging things and ideas,Therefore,the Art Nouveau came into being.The Art Nouveau movement has affected many countries including Europe and the United States.Its scope covers many fields such as furniture,jewelry,clothing,illustration and architecture.It is an international decorative art innovation movement with a wide range of influence,a wide scale and great influence.It opposes historical patterns and advocates creating an unprecedented architectural decoration method that can represent the spirit of the industrial era.With the colonial occupation of Chinese cities by European colonialists,the Art Nouveau movement appeared in various cities in China and became an indispensable part of modern Chinese architecture and urban culture.These buildings are not only of great significance to the study of modern Chinese architecture system,but also an important component of urban architectural style and cultural heritage,Through the analysis of the artistic style and works of the art nouveau movement in China,this paper summarizes the development characteristics of the art nouveau movement in China,establishes the positioning and importance of the art nouveau movement in the history of Chinese architecture,and provides opinions and suggestions for the protection and repair of the art nouveau movement buildings.This paper takes the art nouveau movement in Harbin and Qingdao as the representatives,through the study of the development period of the art nouveau movement in these two cities and the classification and arrangement of the decorative arts,to understand the formation and development of the art nouveau movement in Harbin and Qingdao,and summarize the differences and differences between the two cities’ art nouveau buildings,and sort out the reasons for the differences between the two cities.Through the comparative study and analysis of the two urban buildings,we recognize the important value of the Art Nouveau,further understand the inspiration and reference of the Art Nouveau movement to the current architectural design in China,and put forward relevant opinions and suggestions on the protection and renewal of the existing Art Nouveau buildings. |
