Around the beginning of 20 century, as the rebel of Victoria Style, and negativeexploration of industrialization, Art Nouveau was prevailed in the main Europe, as wellin the UK. Though the influence of Arts and Crafts Movement is over it, Charles RennieMackintosh (1868-1928) and his partners, as a group of Glasgow Four, have auniversally admit on explore of design in this international movement.The Glasgow Four area including architectural design, interior design, furnituredesign, advocate the use of geometric shapes outlined in black and white neutral colors,soft curves and strong vertical alternation of vertical, creating a unique new art inScotland unique style. Exploration of the genre to break the British design industry haslong dull atmosphere, slowly from the natural shape of the curve style, first proposedthe "square style" style, a pioneer of geometric abstract style, for the then British andworld-wide large-scale mechanized , laid the foundation for industrial production.The Glasgow Four from the impact of this new art movement, arts and craftsmovement of the background, characteristics and style of architecture, interior, furnituredesign of working, multi-angle analysis of the school at different times affected by theirenvironment to create works of representative to arrive at Glasgow school of designahead of its time because - as every design works as a complete organism, and strive toindividual and overall mental function and style combined, including the proper use ofsymbolic signs and caution balance of opposing factors. Such as modern and traditional,masculine and feminine beauty, lines and curves of the change, the bright and darkcontrast, rhythm and cadence and so on. Glasgow school of design work includes notonly traditional tension, there is a style ahead of its time characteristics. Finally, theorywith practice, the designers of the new century in the face of rapid design changes,surging in the design ideas, a variety of design styles, how to form a unique, adapt to thetimes of Chinese design.
