Youth Residential Space Environment Design Research In Harbin

With the rapid development of urbanization, the housing problem of the young has become a serious social issue. Especially in medium-sized cities, the problem is much worse. At present, the community planning and architectural design are short in attention and deep research on the changes of the family structure, young people's demands and the living condition. There is also lack of services for solving problems about the youth, which bring much pressure and actual hardship to young people's lives and work. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the architect that creates the comfortable living architecture and environment to meet the behavioral characteristics and psychological needs of young people.This paper takes the small family of the youth as the research object, andthe content will spread on the basis of both indoor space environment and external space environment. Through the investigation to the youth's residential status in Harbin, the paper summarizes the problems existing in the youth residential buildings. In addition, the paper discusses and analyzes systematically the designation of space environment, such as Youth Residential'unit,the design of each function space, outdoor plaza space, road space, outdoor activities greenbelt. It also summarizes the youth residential design principles and methods. The purpose of this paper is to provide advices for the design and study on the youth's living environment through discussing the proper house designation for the young.
