Research On The Design Of Elderly Suitable Rural Residential Buildings In Ankang District

The Ankang region has unique climatic conditions and geographical environment,and its culture is characterized by the integration of Shaanxi,Hubei,Chongqing,and Henan.Under the influence of multiple factors,local traditional dwellings have distinct regional characteristics,but the living environment of traditional dwellings can no longer meet the diverse elderly care needs of rural elderly people.In the context of rural revitalization strategy,studying the design strategy of suitable elderly residential buildings that can not only meet the elderly care needs of rural elderly people,but also reflect the characteristics of traditional residential buildings in Ankang area is of great significance for improving the quality of elderly care life in Ankang area.Field research was conducted on 22 villages in Ankang area,with a focus on mapping and recording the current usage status and spatial characteristics of 20 traditional dwellings.Thermal environment testing was conducted on 7 of the dwellings inhabited by the elderly.By organizing and analyzing the measured results,combined with the local elderly care needs summarized through questionnaire surveys,it was found that traditional residential buildings have problems with courtyard layout,indoor functions,spatial furnishings,and indoor thermal environment that do not meet the elderly care needs.By applying theories such as human settlement environment and architectural typology,and analyzing the characteristics of traditional dwellings such as courtyards,architecture,and technology,four types of residential characteristic elements are extracted: courtyard form,architectural space,structural form,and architectural style.Analyze the environmental influencing factors of residential buildings,summarize the performance of residential characteristics under the influence of natural environment,cultural environment,social environment,and the needs of the elderly,and analyze the mechanism of action between the characteristic elements and influencing factors of elderly suitable residential buildings.It can be concluded that climate conditions affect the form and spatial layout of courtyards,geographical characteristics affect the layout and spatial form of courtyards,cultural factors affect the architectural style,social factors affect the structural form,and the needs of the elderly affect the coupling relationship between spatial functions and other suitable for the elderly.Based on the dynamic changes in environmental influencing factors and following the design principles of aging suitable rural residential buildings,specific design strategies for aging suitable rural residential buildings are proposed,including five aspects: functional space and plane design of buildings,plane layout and functional zoning,vertical space and section design,regional construction technology application,residential design and cultural expression.Finally,the rationality of the design strategy was verified by establishing a model of elderly suitable rural housing and using simulation software to simulate and analyze the indoor thermal environment,providing reference for the construction of elderly suitable rural housing in Ankang area.
