The Design Study On Comprehensive Elderly-oriented Renewal In Existing Urban Residential Areas Based On Community Home-based Care For Aged

Residential area is an important material space carrier to implement community home-based care for aged.Within the background of China’s aging times and stock renewal,the elderly-oriented renewal in existing urban residential areas is the only way for China’s urban development and realizing the basic requirement of community home-based care for aged.This paper aims at studying on existing urban residential areas and takes the perspective of comprehensive elderly-oriented renewal to scrutinize “what should be changed in which means”.The breakdown of the research question are as followed:First of all,this paper introduces the development of concept and model of community home-based care for aged in the West and China,and summarizes that community home-based care for aged advocates using the advantages of "geography" and "kinship" in the familiar environment of the elderly,continuously providing care services for the aged in different stages of the whole aging cycle of the elderly,and maintaining the ability and life of the elderly to live independently quality through literature review.It is an effective measure to realize this goal to reconstruct the material space environment familiar to the elderly.Secondly,through the field investigation of the latest cases of comprehensive renewal of existing residential areas in China,this paper analyses the advantages and disadvantages from the perspective of "holistic" design.Through the statistical analysis of the relevant literature of the renewal of existing urban residential areas,all the contents related are summarized from the perspective of "comprehensive" and divided into functional facilities,road traffic and outdoor environment.Finally,from the perspective of comprehensiveness and integrity,the paper interprets the "comprehensive" transformation,and puts forward a comprehensive aging transformation strategy that first embeds the community comprehensive elderly care facilities,then optimizes the residential traffic environment,and improves the quality of outdoor space environment.And through the analysis of excellent cases at home and abroad from their facilities,transportation,environment respectively,the design points are summarized and further verified through on comprehensive suitable aging reconstruction design of Sihuli residential district in Tianjin.Based on the analysis and summary of relevant cases at home and abroad,this paper sums up the content and design method of community home-based care for aged of existing residential areas,in order to provide reference for the practices of design of comprehensive elderly-oriented renewal in specific cities.
