Abstract/Summary:
With the development of economic globalisation,globalised information networks and globalised competitive markets are increasingly taking shape.In order to enhance the supply chain management of domestic enterprises,it is particularly important to apply modern supply chain management ideas to improve supplier management and thereby enhance overall market competitiveness.Effective supplier management is vital to the survival and development of a company.On the basis of ensuring reasonable profits for suppliers,the company strives to develop a sustainable development path in an increasingly competitive environment by eliminating waste of resources,improving efficiency and product innovation in the supply chain through collaborative efforts with suppliers.This article takes Company A as an example,through the combing of theories of supplier management and supplier relationship,the actual business situation and macro environment of the company,and the analysis of the current situation of supplier management of the company through questionnaires and interviews,three problems of supplier management exist in Company A at this stage: poor supplier matching,inadequate supplier classification management,and inadequate supplier performance assessment system.The problems of supplier management in Company A were analysed.By analysing the problems of supplier management in Company A,a supplier selection index system was constructed using the hierarchical analysis method to improve the design of supplier selection,determine the number and categories of supplier groups required for supplier management in Company A,so as to optimise the comprehensive strength of the supplier pool;apply the Kraljic model to classify and manage suppliers,according to the value of different categories of materials and The Kraljic model was applied to classify and manage suppliers,and the supplier management of Company A was classified into four categories: strategic supplier,bottleneck supplier,leveraged supplier and general supplier,and a "divide and conquer" supplier management strategy was adopted.Based on the hierarchical analysis method,the supplier performance assessment system and supplier grading strategy were improved,horizontal comparison and evaluation between different suppliers were achieved,and management strategies were proposed for various supplier types in a targeted manner,so that the overall cost of Company A’s business could be optimised and procurement efficiency maximised through the introduction of strategic partners for long-term cooperation.Based on Company A’s actual business situation,supplier management is driven by a scientific index system and model for supplier performance.Starting from the supplier selection stage,the top-down supplier classification,grading and corresponding subdivision management strategies are gradually established,and the entire supplier management is eventually fed back through supplier performance assessment,forming a closed-loop management of the overall procurement process within Company A.This ensures that the problems identified in Company A’s supplier management can be solved and properly dealt with,thus promoting the integration of Company A’s This ensures that problems identified in Company A’s supplier management are resolved and dealt with appropriately,thus facilitating the integration of Company A’s supplier network and improving procurement efficiency and quality.
