Study On Conservation And Development Of Landscape Characteristics Of Traditional Settlements In Youshui Watershed (Youyang Region)

The Youshui river basin in Chongqing region is the intersection of the Han nationality area in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the ethnic minority area in the southeast of Chongqing.It is close to Hubei provinces and Hunan provinces and mainly inhabited by Tujia and Miao people,with unique natural and cultural landscape.With the modernization,the living and production level of the traditional minority areas has been improved significantly,which also intensifies the destruction of the traditional settlement landscape.This thesis establishes an exploration framework for the characteristic identification of traditional settlement landscape in Youshui river basin(Youyang section),forms the classification research of watershed scale and settlement scale,landscape characteristics classification at watershed scale and characteristic identification of traditional settlement landscape at settlement scale,and proposes the protection and development strategies of traditional settlement landscape on this basis.The classification of landscape features at the watershed scale is of great significance to the basement environment on which traditional settlements live.In this study,elevation,slope,relief degree and land use type were selected as landscape feature factors.Through SPSS second-order clustering method and geographic information system analysis,four landscape feature types were finally identified,namely valley platform village landscape,hilly flat dam pastoral landscape,inter-mountain valley farming landscape,inter-mountain slope rural landscape.Landscape characteristic identification at settlement scale takes 15 villages in the basin that have been included in the Directory of Chinese Traditional Villages as the research object.Based on the collection,tapping,photographing and mapping of natural landscape,settlement landscape,intangible culture and aesthetic perception and other elements of traditional villages,The analysis focuses on the four types of traditional settlement landscape characteristics corresponding to the four landscape characteristics at the catchment scale.The four types of traditional settlement landscape are valley type,flat dam type,valley type and mountain type respectively.Overall identification of its natural landscape,settlement landscape,intangible culture and aesthetic perception is carried out,and typical cases are selected for detailed description.Based on the identification of the characteristics of the traditional settlement landscape in the basin,the value connotation of the traditional settlement landscape in the basin is extracted from three aspects: history and culture,commercial trade,ecological sustainability.At the watershed scale,landscape sensitivity was analyzed based on Arc GIS platform,and the sensitivity of each landscape feature type was analyzed,and different landscape protection strategies were proposed.At the settlement scale,the protection strategies of natural landscape,settlement landscape and intangible culture are proposed for the four types of traditional settlement landscape.The protection of natural landscape characteristics is embodied in the protection and management of natural landscape resources and the planning and utilization of plant landscape.The protection of the characteristics of settlement landscape is embodied in the protection and management of farmland landscape,traditional architectural style and historical environmental elements.The protection of intangible culture mainly lies in the protection of inheritors.Finally,protection strategies are proposed based on the landscape characteristics of each typical village.In terms of development strategies,different development strategies are proposed for four kinds of traditional settlement landscape.Valley traditional villages focus on the integration of culture and tourism,orderly tourism development,improving the riverbank landscape development strategy;flat dam type traditional settlement puts forward the development strategy of developing modern agricultural mode,developing rural cultural tourism and shaping comprehensive public space.The valley type traditional settlement is mainly a development strategy of protecting the ecological landscape,establishing the village brand,developing the rural ecotourism,forming the ecological health model,and unifying the overall village style by using local materials.Mountain type traditional settlement is proposed to strengthen the ability of self-organization,construction of public space,to create village highlights of the development strategy.Taking the planning and design practice of Houxi wharf block as an example,this thesis analyzes the problems existing in the settlement landscape,puts forward suggestions for the protection and development of various landscape elements,and finally makes targeted protection planning and design for the wharf block.
