In recent years,with the continuous promotion of China’s urban-rural integration,the task of revitalizing and updating traditional residences has become particularly urgent.The key to revitalizing traditional residences lies in how to create a low-carbon,comfortable,and livable indoor environment while ensuring human habitation.Due to the surrounding mountain ranges and water systems,the Huizhou area of Anhui Province belongs to a bi-directional unfavorable climate zone with hot summers and cold winters.Economic conditions,construction techniques,and equipment technology during the construction of traditional Huizhou buildings have limited their performance,leading to many contradictions between traditional architecture and modern life.How to improve building performance from multiple aspects through suitable transformation,so that traditional Huizhou buildings can adapt to modern production,lifestyle,and living needs,is the main challenge facing the renovation of traditional Huizhou residences.Therefore,in this context,conducting research on strategies to improve the indoor environment quality of traditional Huizhou residences and rationally drawing on inheritable technology will have significant guiding significance for improving the methods of upgrading the indoor environment of traditional Huizhou residences and clarifying the direction of traditional residence renovation.This study conducted field research on traditional Huizhou residences located in Xixinan ancient village,Huizhou District,Huangshan City,Anhui Province.The study utilized subjective perception questionnaires,objective data analysis,on-site monitoring,and statistical methods to identify the current problems with the indoor environment of traditional Huizhou residences,including thermal environment,light environment,sound environment,and indoor air quality,and analyzed the underlying causes.Based on the identified problems and taking into consideration the historical,cultural,and ecological environment of the buildings,this study explored and summarized preliminary optimization strategies for the indoor environment of traditional Huizhou residences from four aspects: group layout and environment,architectural form and space,building structure and materials,and mechanical assistance.Finally,the validity and feasibility of physical environmental optimization design schemes and strategies were verified using numerical simulations,providing a reference for improving the indoor environment quality of traditional Huizhou residences in the future.TBeginning with an overview of the current state of the physical indoor environment of traditional Huizhou residences,this article summarizes the direction for improving indoor environment quality and establishes a technical approach to achieve this goal.The aim is to enrich and enhance research on traditional residences and to encourage the development of regional residential architecture.Figure 100 Table 35 Reference 56...
