With the rapid progress of urbanization, many cities appear to be the same. Although the protection of traditional residence can inherit the culture of architecture, there is a contradiction between traditional residence indoor environment and requirements of modern comfort. Traditional residence indoor thermal environment analysis and improvement are an important research topic for traditional residence protected.In this paper, research of Huizhou traditional residence found that the siting of Huizhou traditional houses and the local natural environment achieve full integration, building construction also has it unique attributes. Patio, pitched roof, tile roof, cavity wall, bluestone floors, ground bamboo cage, hollow out windows etc, forming envelope characteristics of Huizhou traditional residence, and it implies ecological design.Through the typical Huizhou traditional residential indoor environment measurement, mastered the situation of traditional residence indoor environment in winter. During the test, the degree of outdoor temperature fluctuations weakened very small by envelope, Indoor temperature deviates farther of human thermal comfort requirements; relative humidity of Hall and Wing-room range of 78.6% to 99.8%, much larger than the most comfortable relative humidity range of indoor air. Measured results show that the thermal comfort of indoor feeling seriously cools. Wing-room has poor daylighting effects. Hall has uneven daylighting effects. The airtightness of Halls, Wing-room(closed) and Wing-room(open) reached10.01 h-1,2. 5 h-1,12.5 h-1, airtightness in Winter is poor. Therefore, the indoor of Huizhou traditional residential building is dusky in winter, cold and wet, poor air tightness, indoor thermal environment in winter needs to be improved.Typical Huizhou tradition was taken as the research object, combined ground bamboo cage of Wing-room design the solar hot water low-temperature radiant floor heating system to improve indoor thermal environment. Using the TRNSYS software to simulate the operating characteristics of the solar hot water low-temperature radiant floor heating system. The system is divided into six subsystems, including environmental parameter processing, architectural models, collector systems, heat storage systems, heating systems, and the resulting output. The simulation results shown that:In January, February and December, Time above 16 ℃accounted for 81.1% 86.8%, 88.6%of the total time respectively when heating in winter. Solar fraction is 23.5%, 29.5%, 34.0%, the system used in the Huizhou region is feasible. This article also optimized design the collectors and thermal storage system. Economic analysis shows that the system has a lower heating energy consumption and better economic benefits..
