Study On Environmental Assessment And Improvement Strategies For Completed Historic And Cultural Districts

With the further acceleration of China’s urbanization process,historical and cultural districts have rapidly become important objects of attention in urban development and related research fields by virtue of their historical and cultural heritage accumulated in the long history and the development advantages of their own location,but their preservation and renewal still face many crises and challenges.For example,the material heritage of historical and cultural neighborhoods has been seriously damaged,the homogenization of neighborhood protection and renewal is serious,and there is an imbalance between commercialization and preservation.Therefore,it is helpful to evaluate and study the conservation effects and built environment for the long-term development of historical and cultural districts.This thesis plans to evaluate and study the built environment of Tunxi Old Street in Tunxi District,Mount Huangshan City,and evaluate the built environment of Tunxi Old Street through qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods,summarize the problems of the built environment of the street and propose corresponding optimization strategies.Firstly,the literature on "evaluation of historical and cultural districts" and "built environment evaluation" at home and abroad is summarized by using the "Knowledge Network" and "Super Star Discovery System" to understand the current situation of relevant research at home and abroad,and the relevant literature is visualized by "Keyword Co-occurrence Through the visualization of relevant literature by "keyword co-occurrence network",it is concluded that the evaluation of historical and cultural districts in China rarely involves the evaluation of built environment of historical and cultural districts as a whole,and the research on the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods is insufficient in terms of evaluation methods and techniques.Secondly,by sorting through the literature and summarizing the theories,the built physical environment,built cultural environment,and built social environment are selected as the criterion layer and 8 sub-criteria layers of the evaluation system,and through field research on Tunxi Old Street,29 index factor layers are refined according to its actual situation to form a complete evaluation system of the built environment of Tunxi Old Street.The data of 8 valid expert questionnaires were analyzed through hierarchical analysis to establish the weight of indicators at all levels and the weight judgment matrix.The data of 78 valid mass questionnaires were summarized,a fuzzy judgment matrix was established,and the fuzzy judgment set of index weights at all levels was constructed according to the experts’ assignments to each index,and the comprehensive evaluation scores of each index were calculated,and the evaluation results were analyzed according to the scores.Finally,in terms of building the physical environment,it proposes improvement strategies such as enriching the greening landscape,configuring service facilities,and integrating the street interface;In terms of building a cultural environment,it is proposed to enhance cultural identity and carry out cultural activities to improve the built cultural environment;In terms of building a social environment,it proposes improvement strategies for improving living facilities,replacing street functions,and reconstructing street arteries.
