| In his speech at the national propaganda and ideological work conference,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that "the spiritual identity of excellent traditional culture should be refined and displayed,and the cultural essence of excellent traditional culture with contemporary value and world significance should be refined and displayed." Traditional Chinese festivals have become the symbol of Chinese traditional culture and the carrier of national identity.With the rapid development of society,people’s demand for material and cultural life has been unprecedentedly high.However,due to the accelerated pace of people’s lives and the phenomenon of superficiality and homogenization of festival consumption products has become more and more serious,leading to the gradual dilution of the traditional festival atmosphere in people’s lives,and even some festival rituals and customs have disappeared,the traditional festival with great cultural connotation in people’s minds gradually turned into a "food festival".In order to achieve the research goal of better transmission of traditional festival rituals in the fast-paced era,this project carried out the following research from the perspective of narrative: first,theoretical research.Through in-depth research on narrative theory and other related theories,a ritual design model for festival culture and creativity is developed by combining narrative themes,user narrative needs,narrative plots and other narrative indicators to provide a good theoretical foundation for this project.Second,user research.Through questionnaire research,network research,KANO model,JK method and other research methods,we analyzed the theme,plot,context and other needs of festival users,and obtained the highest demand items of users.Third,the strategy is proposed.By highly mentioning the high weighted needs in the content of the user needs hierarchy,five design strategies such as thematic narrative strategy,practical narrative strategy,gamification narrative strategy,custom narrative strategy and multi-media narrative strategy are proposed to guide the later research practice.Fourth,practice design.Using the Lantern Festival as a case festival for the design of festive rituals,we designed a multi-dimensional interactive "Reunion and Joy" festive gift box by combining the design strategies from the preliminary research to dig deeper into the cultural connotation of the Lantern Festival,which reconstructs the full moon ritual,dining ritual,lantern ritual,lantern riddle ritual,firework ritual,blessing sharing ritual and other festive rituals unique to the Lantern Festival.It forms a complete festival narrative ritual chain that runs through food,interactive entertainment and emotional transmission.Finally,verification and evaluation.The design solution was evaluated in terms of usability and satisfaction by combining the design strategy specified in the previous stage with a Likert scale.This project proposes a new design idea for festival culture design,constructs a design model of festival culture ritual based on narrative theory,and develops innovative design strategies.The final design meets the multiple needs of user behavior and emotion,and also enriches the traditional festival culture to a certain extent,providing some reference basis for future festival culture design field. |
