The Design Of Literary Derivative Products From The Perspective Of Interactive Narrative

In recent years,the consumption market of literature and creative cultural products continues to prosper with a steady increase on the output value of cultural and related industries.However,as a combination of the two,the literary product market is not well developed,but it does have great potential.Interactive narrative,also known as co active narrative,is a concept proposed in the study on the narrative of digital media.It refers to an interactive narrative mode between the narrative process and readers,the biggest feature of which lies in the non-linearity of the narrative structure and the participation of the audience in the process.These characteristics are exactly what users need in the current economic trend of undergo experience.This paper aims to explore how to apply the interactive narrative perspective to the design of literary derivative products.The research methods mainly include literature reading,case analysis,inductive deduction,interdisciplinary research and empirical research.In order to find a suitable combination point,this paper focuses on carding the theories and existing applications of interactive narrative,the design of literary derivative products,narrative design and other related fields.Starting with the advantages of integrating the interactive narrative perspective into the design of literary derivative products,the classification of source materials and the types of interactive narrative,this paper analyzes the interactive narrative of the design of literary derivative products.On this basis,the following design methods are proposed: to enhance interaction through enjoyable behaviors,to enhance immersion through the interweaving of senses and time and space,to achieve personalized design through multi-angle narratives,to deepen empathy through "props" creative cultural products,to realize the extension of meaning through peripheral interaction,etc.At the same time,this paper proposes a set of design process of literary derivative products from the perspective of interactive narrative,attaching importance to interaction,immersion,individuation and empathy.It include four steps: filter on the source materials of the original work and narrative analysis,determination on the theme and carrier of the narrative,construction of interactive narrative frameworks and coding of design elements.Finally,this paper takes the design of literary derivative products of The three body problem,the science fiction series,as an example,and combines the proposed design methods and processes to complete a set of design of it,which not only verifies the feasibility of the proposed design methods and processes,but also provides ideas and methods for reference on the design practice of literary derivative products.
