Research On The Design Strategy Of Public Space Renovation In Old Residential Areas In Nanjing Under The Background Of Urban Renewal And Aging

With the deepening of the domestic aging and the further improvement of the urbanization process,the phenomenon of "double old" in residential areas in most cities has become prominent.Urban renewal,represented by the renovation of old residential areas,is an important measure taken by the government to activate old urban areas and ensure people’s livelihood,and has received great attention from the government and wide attention from the society in recent years.At present,the relevant researches on the renovation of old residential areas are mostly premised on urban renewal at the macro level,while at the medium and micro levels,they focus on functional renovation and infrastructure improvement of old residential areas.There are few studies on the combination of the atmosphere remodeling of old residential areas and the overall value enhancement of residential areas.The public space of the old residential area carries the daily activities of the residents in the residential area,and is the main place for the residents,especially the elderly group,to interact and interact.Therefore,starting from the transformation of the public space of the residential area,the transformation and design strategies that seek to integrate urban renewal and improve the quality of space under the background of aging need to be further analyzed and studied.This thesis takes the renovation of public space in old residential areas in Nanjing as the research object,focuses on many practical problems existing in the public space of old residential areas under the background of aging,and summarizes domestic and foreign renovation experience through field research,case studies,comparative analysis and other methods According to the needs of residents in the old residential area,and from the five aspects of activity space,transportation system,landscape space,service space,and neighborhood identity,the renovation design strategy of public space in old residential areas is summarized.The thesis is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research origin,research object and content,research status at home and abroad,technical route,research feasibility and difficulties.The second chapter introduces the relevant theories of the renovation of old residential areas,and summarizes its development history and enlightenment to the renovation of residential areas.It provides a theoretical basis for the status quo investigation and subsequent design strategy research.The third chapter investigates the current situation of some typical old residential areas in Nanjing through field investigation and questionnaire survey,and sorts out the current situation of public space use in Nanjing old residential areas and its contradictions with residents’ needs.The fourth chapter analyzes and studies the renovation design strategy of old residential areas in Nanjing,summarizes the principles of renovation,and seeks renovation strategies and methods to activate the public space of old residential areas,care for the elderly in residential areas,and enhance the collective atmosphere of residential areas.The fifth chapter takes the renovation design of Nanzhuan New Village in Qixia District,Nanjing City as an example,and discusses and analyzes the specific practice of the design strategy.The sixth chapter is a general summary of the above research,pointing out the innovation and shortcomings of the research,and put forward the direction and prospect of the follow-up research.
