Research On Aging-friendly Renovation Design Of Public Space In Existing Residential Area

In recent years,my country’s urbanization process has accelerated and the population has grown rapidly,and the problem of population aging in cities has become increasingly prominent.The survey found that a large part of the city lives in existing residential areas,and the public space of this part of the residential area was not fully considered at the beginning of the design,and it is no longer satisfied with the life of one of the main users—the elderly.Comprehensive demand.Therefore,it is extremely urgent to carry out design research on the aging-adaptive transformation of the public space of existing residential areas.This article first combs the domestic and foreign related theoretical research,combining the public space of existing residential areas in Nanjing as the research object,focusing on analyzing the physiological and psychological characteristics and needs of the elderly and the behavior characteristics of the elderly in outdoor spaces.Secondly,on the basis of theoretical research,the Laifengli,Kangdingli,and Mufu Xincun communities in Nanjing are selected as the research objects.Through field research and questionnaire surveys,information on the current status of the ageing of public spaces and the activity characteristics of the elderly and the public The demand for space is analyzed and summarized to obtain the demand for the adaptability of public space in existing residential areas.Then put forward the aging-adapted transformation design principles for public spaces,and summarized the aging-adapted transformation design methods for several key points in public spaces.The contents include: road space,entrance space,activity space,landscape green space,and house space Thinking about the age-ability of the street space and public facilities.Finally,based on the summary of the public space adaptability transformation requirements and the aging adaptability transformation design method summarized in the previous article,the design ideas for aging adaptability transformation are proposed for the public space of Xiangshan Mingyuan,and the ageing adaptation transformation design is carried out from the overall planning and space nodes.It is hoped that through this research,it will provide some reference for the renovation of public spaces in existing residential areas in Nanjing,create comfortable,convenient,safe and interesting public spaces for the elderly,and improve the living environment and quality of the elderly.
