| Since the 21 st century,urban development has started to enter a period of transition,with urban development shifting from outward expansion to inward governance,and urban renewal has become a new idea for urban development in the stock quality improvement stage.Old communities are important spatial design areas for urban renewal projects,and their public spaces have become the main carrier of community creation ideas.At the present stage,the public space of some old communities is of low environmental quality,and most of the renewal projects are oriented to basic construction.Although scholars at home and abroad have made a lot of research results on the spatial renewal of old communities,there is not enough analysis on the summary of evaluation elements of public space quality,residents’ living and communication interaction patterns,and lack of research on the governance of small and micro spaces.This study introduces the humanistic elements and living elements in urban renewal into the old community renovation practice,and takes the old community in Yaohai District of Hefei City as a sample case to study the environmental quality improvement of its public space and the interactive participation mode of residents,and the research is carried out according to the following steps.Comprehensive analysis of the connotation of public space renovation in old communities.Through literature combing and analysis,we explore the connotation of old community space transformation and clarify the concept and process of community public space renewal.From the introduction of urban renewal dimensions in the general direction to the detailed community space cognition and space type classification,we provide a clear framework for the subsequent research.Second,systematically analyze the current situation of public space in old communities.Based on the PSPL urban public space research method and Jan Gehl’s interaction space theory,we visited and researched the old communities in Yaohai District,Hefei City,and selected eight old communities for empirical analysis.The analysis of public space in old communities at the present stage is based on the classification of space types,residents’ autonomous activities and interaction behaviors,and space satisfaction,which reveals four contradictions between space and environmental quality,residents’ interaction,crowd structure,and cultural awareness.This part helps to sort out the current situation of old community public space in Hefei,discover the problems of community space environment and people’s needs,and provide ideas for optimization strategies.Third,the study on the elements and mechanisms of public space renewal in old communities.Based on the summary and theoretical research framework of the old community problems in the previous chapters,urban renewal theory is incorporated to improve the strategy of spatial conflicts in four aspects: all-age application of community square space,multi-dimensional development of small and micro spaces,daily planning of emergency space and memory strengthening of cultural space.To expand the perspective research of urban renewal theory in the renewal of public space in old communities.Fourth,the renewal path of old community public space application practice.Taking the community of Xianjuyuan in Yaohai District of Hefei City as the object of practical application,we combine the above-mentioned strategies and research methods,and conceptualize an example design and quality improvement plan based on the actual site status.By combining theory and practice,this paper improves the overall environmental quality of public space from both humanistic and living elements of old communities,provides a theoretical research basis for the creation of community space interaction environment and space renewal design,and also provides a new research path for the improvement of public space atmosphere and intergenerational relationship communication in old communities.Figure [88] table [20] reference [46]... |
