| Left-behind children in China have received continuous attention from all sectors of society since they emergence.With the advancement of China’s new rural construction and the basic realization of lifting out of poverty,the gap between urban and rural areas has gradually narrowed and their living environment has improved significantly,and the total number of left-behind children in rural areas nationwide has significantly decreased,but there are still areas with a high concentration of left-behind children.The main problems that faced by them have changed from the basic living needs to the socialization problem such as emotion,psychology,social,education and safety.A good spatial environment can alleviate these problems of left-behind children to a certain extent and help them to grow up in healthy environment.The government and social organizations have built some buildings for the children living in rural areas,but they are lacking in various aspects because of lack of professional design and comprehensive consideration.This requires a multidisciplinary departure and a more reasonable design principle and design method from the perspective of interior design to provide ideas for the design of activity centers for left-behind children.The author analyses the main socialization problems of left-behind children and the problems of spaces through field research and research findings in the context of the current new rural construction,and proposes corresponding solutions.By studying the domestic and overseas characteristics and theories of childrens welfare facilities,the common points are drawn from them and applied to the design of activity centers for left-behind children,so as to propose the design principles and design methods of activity centers for left-behind children.Moreover,the author hopes to make suggestions for the design of activity centers for left-behind children in the context of new rural construction and to alleviate the socialization problem of left-behind children. |
