As China’s harmonious society building and the development of a new socialist countryside construction, the training and education of left-behind children has become a serious social problem, for example, security issues, left-behind children left-behind children crime, left-behind children education problem and so on, this a series of problems gradually caused the attention of the people from all walks of life highly. Traced back to the rural economic backward mountainous area, loss of children’s education facilities, the lack of related hard software environment is the key cause of the problem of left-behind children. As an increasingly prominent social problem, solve the problem of left-behind children need not only our government, social organizations and other groups multilateral coordination and cooperation to address each other, need more from the perspective of environmental art, architecture, psychology and other disciplines, the top-level design, sense, put forward have theory value and practical solution.Based on this, this paper mainly adopts the method of empirical research, combining the actual situation of left-behind children problem associated with environmental art theory and practice both at home and abroad, with rural left-behind children activity center design of the small Angle as the breakthrough point and main research the influence factors of rural left-behind children activity center design and its design principle, and the design method of rural left-behind children activity center has carried on the exploration and research.The author on the basis of consulting a large number of data, through field research, inductive analysis, the study found that rural left-behind children’s activity center, also known as the home of "left-behind", is the rural left-behind children activity space in addition to the school, family. The existence of rural left-behind children activity center, to a certain extent, make up for the rural left-behind children because parents migrant workers lack of parental care and care, and at the same time to take the initiative to help rural left-behind children overcome difficulties in life, learning, and can also be more active in the psychological problems of left-behind children take some interventions to help their healthy growth.Therefore, from the point of view of environmental art design discipline on rural left-behind children as well as the activity center of indoor space environment to do a detailed investigation and research, to promote rural left-behind children’s activity center and other welfare architectural design, environmental art design is of positive significance.
