| Within last two decades,a increasingly large number of rural migrant workers flock to the urbancities,that a large-scale population flow,which driven by the rapid development and growth ofchina’s society and economy.Under such a social phenomenon produced a huge social group-"left-behind children".As result of special life context,poor education environment and thelack of proper parenting and positive guidance,this specific group of children in their initialstage of life have already appear to have personality defects and eventually cause a lot ofnegative impacts to the society.In this paper,the phenomenon will be studied by referring to aleft-behind children’s service station in Meizhou,Guangdong,China.Firstly,these children’spsychology will be analyzed from a angle of lacking security,respectively from the vision,touch,hearing,smell,etc.More specifically,by using color,material,light and shadow,spacescale to provide left-behind children a sense of security.Secondly,due to the lack of ruralresources,under-developed economy and the limitation of government and social capitalfunding,the design will use the technique of local materials and waste utilization in order toreduce costs while make the design more integration with the local customs.Furthermore,location of the site has certain limitations,flexible utility of the space is also the mostimportant one.It is hoped to meet the different needs of local activities by means of variablespatial partitioning.Eventually,after transforming the community centre to provide a goodenvironment that can create love to promote children’s trust and support the right setting of theirpersonality,as well as,friendly interaction with people and society.Through hostingcommunity activities here or in the foundation and with the help of volunteers,mutual learningand exchanges will be achieved among these children,at the same time,a better livingenvironment can be created jointly by the people. |
