In recent years, with the implementation of a series of national strategies such as the coordinated development strategy of Beijing Tianjin Hebei, the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the "Made in China 2025",Beijing Tianjin Hebei has gradually become the focus of industrial undertaking. In this context, the industrial structure of the manufacturing industry in Beijing Tianjin Hebei has been continuously optimized, upgrading from traditional low-end manufacturing to high-end manufacturing, and enhancing core technology mastery and innovation capabilities; At the same time, the implementation of these national strategies has promoted the development of the logistics industry in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, and the trend of logistics industry agglomeration has significantly increased. The total amount of social logistics and logistics business income have shown an overall upward trend.Although the economy of Beijing Tianjin Hebei is developing rapidly, the issue of carbon emissions cannot be ignored, and achieving the "dual carbon" goals in Beijing Tianjin Hebei faces great pressure. Therefore, this article studies the impact of collaborative agglomeration of manufacturing and logistics industries on carbon emissions in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. It can not only provide reasonable suggestions from the perspective of industrial collaborative agglomeration in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, but also provide relevant suggestions from carbon emission reduction and other perspectives, providing theoretical and data support for the development of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region and green sustainable development. This article first introduces the definition and theory of collaborative agglomeration and carbon emissions between manufacturing and logistics industries.Secondly, this article analyzes the current development status of manufacturing and logistics industries in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, and uses the location entropy index to calculate the agglomeration level of manufacturing and logistics industries in13 cities from 2010 to 2020.Then,the improved E-G index is used to analyze the collaborative agglomeration level of the two industries. Finally, the Moran’s I index was used to verify the spatial dependence of collaborative agglomeration and carbon emissions between the two industries, and a spatial lag model was used to empirically analyze the impact of collaborative agglomeration of manufacturing and logistics industries on carbon emissions in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region.Research shows that both the manufacturing and logistics industries in Beijing Tianjin Hebei have shown a trend of agglomeration, and the degree of collaborative agglomeration between the manufacturing and logistics industries is also constantly improving. However, there are significant differences in the degree of collaborative agglomeration between different cities; The total carbon emissions of cities in Beijing,Tianjin, and Hebei increased first and then decreased, with a steady downward trend in per capita carbon emissions and carbon emission intensity; There is an inverted "U" shaped relationship between the degree of collaborative agglomeration and carbon emissions between the manufacturing and logistics industries in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. This article suggests that the government should encourage foreign investment in clean energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, and the tertiary industry, continue to strengthen investment supervision, and avoid foreign investment entering high pollution industries; We should increase the intensity of talent cultivation and introduction in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, and strengthen multi-party cooperation to attract more outstanding talents to continuously develop and innovate carbon emission reduction technologies;Strengthen environmental monitoring, regulation, and law enforcement efforts, establish sound environmental management systems and standards, and improve the technological content and level of environmental governance;Increase the policy inclination of collaborative agglomeration between manufacturing and logistics industries, and accelerate the development of local characteristic industries.
