Study On Innovative Application Of Xilankapu Pattern In Knitting Garments

Xilankapu,the soul of Tujia brocade,has been inherited for thousands of years as a folk handicraft art.In 2006,Xilankapu was included in the first batch of national intangible Cultural Heritage list,becoming the most representative art and culture of Tujia.Because the weaving technique,pattern layout and color composition of Xilankapu are very characteristic of Tujia ethnic group,Xilankapu has a decisive influence in the long history of Tujia culture.Xilankapu pattern bears the handmade wisdom,ethnic culture and artistic pursuit of the Tujia ancestors,and has the same recording function as the written word.Applying it to knitted clothing design,it not only meets the aesthetic needs of modern development,but also contains profound connotation.It plays an important role in inheriting Chinese traditional folk art and culture to study the application of Xilankapu pattern in knitted clothing to broaden the application way of Xilankapu pattern.Based on the field investigation,combined with the interview of the Xilankapu inheritors,and referring to the relevant literature,this paper analyzes the application Xilankapu in knitted clothing.The research is mainly based on knitted clothing design,excavating the essence of traditional ethnic and folk culture from the Xilankapu pattern,refining the corresponding design elements,innovating the Xilankapu pattern and using the unique materials and textures of knitting.Through the application and exploration combined with the characteristics of knitted clothing,the innovative design of Xilankapu pattern is more suitable for knitted clothing,not only inject new vitality into the traditional pattern,but also provide practical reference for designers to apply the traditional pattern in knitted clothing design in the future,so that the excellent ethnic and folk culture can be inherited,carried forward,developed and innovated in modern knitted clothing.In the tide of traditional Chinese culture,this intangible cultural heritage will adjust accordingly with the trend of The Times.The expression of Xilankapu patterns through knitting is of very positive significance for highlighting Chinese traditional culture and inheriting and innovating intangible cultural heritage.
