A strong country must be preceded by strong agriculture, and only when agriculture is strong can the country be strong.Agriculture is an important part of China’s national economy, and in today’s increasingly competitive comprehensive national power, achieving green and sustainable development of agriculture is crucial to the development of China’s economy.Since the reform and opening up,the agricultural economy, while achieving rapid development, has brought certain damage to resources and the environment.China faces the double pressure of resources and environment and agricultural development, and must boost the quality of agricultural development, accelerate the transformation of agriculture to modern agriculture, and strive to achieve resource conservation, environmental protection and agricultural economic growth side by side.Green total factor productivity of agriculture takes into account the pollution emission in the process of agricultural production, fits the concept of green agricultural development advocated in the new development stage of China, and is an important indicator for judging the quality of agricultural economic development. Therefore, scientific measurement of agricultural green total factor productivity and further investigation of its influencing factors can help provide relevant suggestions for improving the level of agricultural green total factor productivity in China.Based on this, this paper focuses on two aspects of research.Firstly,we incorporate agricultural carbon emissions into the accounting framework as non-expected output, and use the super-efficient SBM model combined with the Global MalmquistLuenberger productivity index to measure agricultural green total factor productivity in China as a whole and in 30 sample provinces.Second, based on the objective fact that the factor marketization process in China lags behind the product marketization, the impact of factor market distortion on agricultural green total factor productivity is studied through the spatial Durbin model. It is found that the green total factor productivity of China’s agriculture grows steadily in the period under study, and the spatial distribution pattern is "highest in the east and similar in the middle and west".From the decomposition term, technological progress is the driving force of agricultural green total factor productivity growth, and the delay of technical efficiency improvement has a dampening effect on agricultural green total factor productivity growth. The empirical results show that factor market distortions have a significant deterrent effect on agricultural green total factor productivity, regardless of whether spatial effects are considered, and indirectly suppress agricultural green total factor productivity in neighboring regions through spatial spillover effects.Based on the research conclusions, this paper puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Reform agricultural production mode and promote agricultural green production.(2)Optimize the regional pattern of agricultural production and narrow the regional gap of agricultural total factor productivity.(3)Comprehensively deepen the reform of various factor markets in different regions, and eliminate the hindrance effect of factor market distortions on the improvement of agricultural green total factor productivity. |
