| In the sustainable development,environment and energy are not only endogenous variables but also rigid constraints on the scale and quality of economic development.According to the neoclassical growth theory,the source of the sustainable development is the improvement of total factor productivity(TFP).More and more scholars evaluate the quality or efficiency of economic development by adopting the green total factor productivity(GTFP)considering energy and environmental constraints.However,there are some deficiencies in the existing research of evaluating GTFP.For example,the construction of the evaluation index system is not comprehensive.Besides,the radial efficiency evaluation model in which the inputs and outputs indicators change simultaneously in equal proportion is used too frequently while the thorough analysis of the actual influencing factors is less deeply studied.Based on the existing research,this thesis constructs the green total factor productivity(GTFP)evaluation index system of Chinese industrial sectors from the perspective of 3E system according to the Input-Output Table and the statistical data of Chinese environmental statistics yearbook.Among them,the input indicators include employees,fixed asset investment and energy consumption.The expected output indicators consist of the added value and the value of PageRank index.And the undesired output indicators are comprised of carbon dioxide emissions,waste water emissions,waste gas emissions and solid waste emissions.The non-radial superefficiency SBM model is applied in this thesis to quantitatively evaluate and estimate the GTFP of Chinese various industrial sectors in four years(2007,2010,2012 and2015).And based on the slack variables of each evaluation indicator,reasons for the efficiency deficit of industrial sectors are analyzed.At last,the GML index model and the Tobit regression model are applied to analyze the dynamic characteristics and practical influencing factors of the GTFP in all industrial sectors.The major conclusions of this thesis are as follows:(1)The calculated results of the GTFP of all industrial sectors show that the average ranking of GTFP of industries with low energy consumption and emission is higher,such as the "Instrument office industry",the "Machine manufacturing industry" and the "Clothing manufacturing industry".And the average ranking of GTFP of industries with high energy consumption and emission is lower,such as the "Power and heat production and supply industry","Coal mining industry" and "Non-metallic mineral products industry".(2)The excessive emissions of undesired outputs indicators in the industrial sector have a greater impact on GTFP efficiency losses than the excessive consumption of their inputs indicators.And both excessive carbon dioxide and "three wastes" emissions are main reasons for the efficiency loss in the undesirable outputs perspective.The efficiency loss in the inputs perspective is mainly caused by excessive energy consumption.(3)The results of the GML index model show that the average growth rate of the GTFP of Chinese industry during the study period is 6.3%.And the overall industrial sector is developing towards the green direction of increasing the positive economic promotion effect and reducing the negative environmental impact.(4)The results of Tobit regression model show that the absolute values of positive and negative regression coefficients of technological innovation level and energy consumption structure are the largest among the six variables affecting the GTFP of industrial sectors.The improvement of technological innovation level by increasing research and development funding and the amelioration of energy consumption structure by reducing the proportion of coal consumption will greatly increase the GTFP of industrial sectors.The innovation achievements of this thesis include three points: Firstly,a comprehensive GTFP evaluation system for Chinese industrial sectors is constructed in this thesis.Secondly,an advanced model is applied in the quantitative evaluation and thorough analysis of the GTFP in Chinese various industrial sectors.Thirdly,the research methods and contents of the GTFP evaluation and the related analysis of industrial sectors have been improved and expanded in this thesis.Besides,this thesis could provide a basis and scientific support for the relevant departments in formulating tinged or targeted policies to improve the development quality of industrial sectors. |
