As an interdisciplinary and frontier educational pedagogical approach,STEAM education can provide a systematic knowledge framework and theoretical support for the traditional handicrafts learning at the K-12 level.Therefore,research takes Xiaoyu Bamboo Ware,a national intangible heritage in Hunan Province,as a specific research object,tries to design the teaching strategy for handicrafts under the STEAM learning framework,and uses the teaching strategy as a guide to complete the teaching toolkit design practice.The thesis mainly consists of three parts: theoretical foundation construction,teaching strategy construction,and teaching toolkit design practice.The first part clarifies the definition,framework,process and method of STEAM education,summarizes the current situation of localized STEAM education practice in China,analyzes the current situation of traditional handicrafts teaching,summarizes the problem and prospects the two future development trends.The second part mainly sorts out the craft knowledge structure of Xiaoyu bamboo ware,summarizes the STEAM transforming path of craft knowledge,and constructs teaching strategies.In the design practice part,research conducted market research,user research,design practice and validation testing,researched the main product categories in the STEAM teaching toolkit market and formed an analysis summary,researched relevant user groups and conducted demand analysis,and designed the teaching process and teaching toolkit.In the final testing session,the study verified the effectiveness of the teaching tools and optimized the design prototype to solve the problems found in the usability test.The research focuses on exploring the teaching toolkit design based on the integration of handicraft teaching and STEAM teaching method,and conducts verification tests on the design output,in order to provide a reference value for related design research.
