China advocates a "community with a shared future for mankind" and hopes that all countries will be interconnected and united to promote economic and trade development and embark on a path of greater openness and inclusiveness.On July 20,2020,China formally signed the agreement on Geographical Indications between China and The EU,and on July 19,2021,the State Intellectual Property Office issued a series of measures,including the National Strategy of Promoting Rural revitalization with Geographical indications,which means that China’s geographical indications products will embark on a historical journey of a new era,going out of China and going to the world.Geographical indication products have become one of the national strategies to strengthen economic and trade cooperation and drive economic development.Professor Shang Shimin,a cultural scholar of geographical indications,put forward in the article Intangible cultural heritages and geographical indications should Not be Forgotten: Intangible cultural heritages and geographical indications are new things formed by the rapid development of intangible cultural heritages and geographical indications.For new ethnic minority areas eager to get rid of poverty,INTANGIBLE cultural heritage geographical indication products can promote the development of ethnic cultural industry and promote more high-quality geographical indication products to go abroad and go international.Visual image design will be used as a way of cross-cultural communication of INTANGIBLE cultural heritage geographical indications to promote and disseminate registered intangible cultural heritage geographical indications.This will further enrich cultural and creative industries and contribute to the development of trade in ethnic areas.Songtao Miao Embroidery is a traditional handicraft with a long history in southeast Guizhou.It combines ethnic culture with artistic expression.At present,with the rapid economic development,the integration of foreign culture and the homogenization of ethnic culture have brought Songtao Miao Embroidery opportunities for external communication,and at the same time,it has also faced great challenges.If Songtao county wants to seize the opportunity,it should pay attention to market demand in real time and innovate industries and communication channels.This paper focuses on the discussion of visual design communication at the level of "Intangible cultural heritage geographical indications","Sino-European cross-cultural identity" and other related issues.Combined with the design major I have learned,I apply years of professional knowledge learning and accumulation to the inheritance of cross-cultural ethnic groups,and promote cultural confidence with design innovation.Applying the professional knowledge learned to the construction of ethnic areas will be the direction of my efforts,and I will do it!This paper is divided into five chapters,the first chapter is the introduction,the thesis topic background,research content and research significance and related research review;The second chapter studies the development history and difficulties of Songtao Miao Embroidery,a geographical symbol of intangible cultural Heritage,and discusses the difficulties faced by Songtao Miao Embroidery in the past and present.The third chapter makes a comparative analysis of the regional and visual cultures of China and Europe to interpret the practical significance of geographical indications brought by current trade opportunities and ethnic strategies.The fourth chapter extracts the visual symbols of natural and human factors of the INTANGIBLE cultural heritage geographical symbol of Songtao Miao Embroidery,analyzes the design techniques of logo design and illustration design of China and Europe,and carries out design practice based on the design principles of cross-cultural visual symbols of the intangible cultural heritage geographical symbol of Songtao Miao Embroidery.Chapter five is the practice and application of cross-cultural visual image design of Songtao Miao embroidery,a geographical symbol of INTANGIBLE cultural Heritage.
