The Application Of Xiabu Embroidery In Fashion Design From The Perspective Of Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance

Jiangxi Grass Cloth Embroidery is a type of embroidery that uses ramie hand-woven Grass Cloth as the embroidery site.It is the only embroidery species named after the material of the embroidery site.It originated in the Song Dynasty and was nurtured and developed among the people.It belongs to the category of folk embroidery.In 2014,it was included in the national intangible cultural heritage representative project list expansion project list.The art of Grass Cloth embroidery combines the natural texture of Grass Cloth and the painting charm of ink painting,forming an art embroidery that uses ink painting as the expression language.It has a natural and fresh modern aesthetic,as well as a distant historical trace of artistic elegance.In today’s rapidly developing society,people are increasingly enthusiastic about local traditional culture and attach greater importance to the artistry presented by traditional culture in clothing.In order to better inherit and develop Jiangxi Grass Cloth Embroidery,this paper takes Grass Cloth Embroidery as the research object to explore the innovative application of Grass Cloth Embroidery in clothing design.The author uses the methods of literature review,field investigation and physical research,and through interviews and exchanges with Xinyu’s Grass Cloth production base,Yuzhou Embroidery Workshop,Xinyu Grass Cloth Embroidery Museum,and the inheritor of Grass Cloth Embroidery,Master Zhang Xiaohong,to trace the historical origin of Grass Cloth and Jiangxi’s traditional Grass Cloth Embroidery,tell its unique regional style,reveal its weaving and embroidery skills,and summarize its artistic style characteristics and embroidery technology.Explore how the Xinyu art of summer cloth embroidery transforms from folk hemp embroidery,understand its innovative embroidery technology,analyze and sort out its artistry and think about how to apply it.Combine traditional handicrafts with modern clothing design,explore the use of its artistic characteristics in clothing innovation,and shape the clothing of summer cloth embroidery in line with contemporary aesthetics.
