"Plant Production and Environment" is a professional basic course for horticultural technology majors in secondary vocational schools.It combines theory with practice,prompting students to transform theoretical knowledge into practical ability,and laying the foundation for the study and work of subsequent professional courses.very important.In the context of today’s agricultural modernization,the society needs more modern and skilled agricultural talents.However,the current secondary vocational students’ theoretical knowledge is not solid,their problem-solving ability is not strong,and they cannot keep up with the pace of modern agricultural development.Therefore,it is necessary to change this situation through teaching reform and connect with the current employment standards in the agricultural field.The concept of action-oriented teaching is that teachers guide students through tasks and allow students to personally participate in the whole process of professional activities,so as to acquire knowledge and skills and solve practical problems,and promote the development of students’ problem-solving ability.The action-oriented teaching concept can be applied to the teaching of "Plant Production and Environment" to promote the development of students,cultivate more skilled agricultural talents with comprehensive qualities,and serve the "rural revitalization".Under the guidance of constructivist learning theory,situational learning theory and multiple intelligences theory,this paper comprehensively uses literature research method,interview method and questionnaire survey method,on the basis of surveying teachers and students of horticultural technology major in N secondary vocational school in Tianshui City,to analyze the teaching status of the "Plant Production and Environment" course in secondary vocational schools,and to understand the needs of students.Then,based on the teaching design principles of the action-oriented teaching concept,combined with the teaching content of the secondary vocational "Plant Production and Environment" course and the characteristics of horticultural technology students,the teaching process is constructed according to the action-oriented learning and action paradigm,and the teaching design of the course is carried out.After the application preparations is done,the case teaching method,the project teaching method and the guiding text teaching method are taken as examples to present the application process of the action-oriented teaching concept in the vernalization effect,the investigation of the basic situation of agricultural production and the learning task of agricultural soil profile.Finally,through student interviews and questionnaires to analyze the results of practice,make a summary,and put forward targeted suggestions.By arranging and analyzing the results of practice,the conclusions of this paper are as follows: The application of action-oriented teaching concept can effectively stimulate students’ interest in learning,improve students’ learning enthusiasm and problem-solving ability,and enable teachers and students to grow together.Finally,it is hoped that the research in this paper can provide practical guidance for the teaching reform of "Plant Production and Environment" in secondary vocational schools.
