In response to an increasingly higher requirement of the quality and demand of professionals in recent years,the Chinese government has promulgated a series of policies to vigorously develop the vocational education.Nevertheless,the secondary vocational educational status is not optimistic.On the one hand,the rapid development of the internet technology has resulted in the popularity of more and more entertaining mobile apps among secondary vocational schools,thus seriously influencing students' academic study.On the other hand,“cramming education”,a traditional teaching model,has weakened students' interest in learning and seriously impaired teachers' teaching quality.Under the era of flourishing of the mobile internet technology,the Chinese government has vigorously support teachers' adoption of information technology to make up the defects in traditional teaching activities.Thereby,how to make use of mobile apps,which are popular among students,to reform the teaching model for the improvement of secondary vocational school students' learning status and teachers' teaching quality has become an issue worthy to further exploration.In this study,applications of “Micro Teaching Assistant” to the teaching activities of “Plant Production and Environment” in X Secondary Vocational School are taken as the research object.The theory of constructivism learning and informal learning are adopted as the theoretical basis.Research work of this paper can be boiled down as below:(1)summarizing literatures related to app-aided teaching;(2)learning the teaching status of the course “Plant Production and Environment”;(3)carrying out the app-aided teaching practice;(4)verifying the app-aided teaching effects.It is hoped that this research can provide references for secondary vocational school teachers to address shortages in traditional teaching models.Research findings of this paper suggest: compared with the traditional teaching mode,(1)80.70% of students said they would like to apply the mobile app to the teaching of “Plant Production and Environment”,and can effectively improve students' interest in learning this course;(2)the online class resources are abundant,which can stimulate students' initiative to learn them autonomously,64.92 % and 66.67 % of students said mobile APP teaching significantly improved their ability to learn independently and solve problems;(3)the average score of students after mobile apps teaching increased by 6 points,the teaching based on mobile apps can significantly improve students' test scores in “Plant Production and Environment”;(4)the teaching based on mobile apps has changed opinions of students on the course,“Plant Production and Environment”,increased satisfaction with teaching methods by 43.86 % and increase their assessment of this course.In summary,the application of “Micro Teaching Assistant” mobile app to the teaching of Plant Production and Environment has effectively improved the deficiencies in traditional teaching,and significantly improved students' interest in learning,learning ability,academic achievement and evaluation of this course.
