Research On The Coupling Coordination Of Public Library Development And Regional Innovation

Economic globalization has led to the deepening of regional economic integration.Regional innovation has become one of the fundamental driving forces for countries and regions to achieve sustainable economic development.It gradually replaces national innovation and becomes a research hotspot for scholars.As the information and knowledge distribution center in the region,the public library is an important service organization serving the operation of the regional innovation system.The value of promoting knowledge flow and providing information services in the process of regional innovation has been recognized by scholars.There are not many empirical studies on regional innovation,and there is a lack of research on the interactive development of the two and their influencing factors.This paper takes 30 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)in my country as the research object,selects 2009-2019 as the research period,adopts coupling coordination model,fixed effect model and other methods to explore the development level and regional innovation ability of public libraries in each province,public library The coupling coordination degree of museum development and regional innovation and its influencing factors.Firstly,the related concepts of public library development and regional innovation are defined;Secondly,according to the connotation of public library development and regional innovation,the evaluation system of public library development level and the evaluation system of regional innovation ability are respectively constructed;Then the coupling coordination degree model is used to estimate the coupling coordination degree between public library development and regional innovation,and the temporal variation characteristics and spatial development differences are analyzed.Finally,the paper analyzes the factors influencing the coordinated development of public libraries and regional innovation in China,east,middle and west regions through panel data regression model.The results show that:(1)China's 30 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)level public library development,regional innovation ability generally stable rise,but the development differences between regions,both present a pattern of eastern,central and western region gradient descending,higher level of development of provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)mainly concentrated in the eastern region;(2)The coupling coordination degree between the development of public libraries and regional innovation in China keeps an upward trend on the whole,and the development difference between different regions is large.The overall level of public libraries shows a pattern of decreasing development in the east,central and western regions.The main reason for the great development difference is the internal difference between the eastern and western regions.In the sample period,the coupling coordination degree of 25 provinces(cities,autonomous regions)showed an increasing trend,but most of them were still in a maladjusted state.(3)From the analysis of influencing factors,it can be found that various influencing factors have different impacts on different regions.Economic level,economic structure,urban population density and government support have a significant positive impact on the coupling coordination degree of public library development and regional innovation in China,while the informatization degree has a significant negative impact.Economic level,economic structure and government support have a significant positive impact on eastern and central China.The degree of informatization has a significant negative impact on the eastern region and a significant positive impact on the western region.The economic structure shows a significant positive influence in western China.Accordingly,some policy suggestions are put forward in order to promote the coupling and coordinated development of public library and regional innovation.
