With the development of information technology,data news came into being.Major domestic media have also carried out relevant practices of data news.Relying on the visual presentation,data news breaks through the single narration of traditional news,enhances the interactivity of news reports,and is also different from traditional news in narrative techniques.Based on the theory of news narratology,this paper analyzes the narrative characteristics of Xinhua data news.In the narrative voice,the narrator is mostly a hidden narrator.The reporter does not express the news viewpoint directly,but expresses the viewpoint implicitly through the ways of news narrative skills and the presentation of the viewpoint of the third character.Narrative subjects are also more diverse,and massive data has become one of the narrative subjects.The narrative focus is more macro,and the perceived news seems to be omnipotent.In terms of narrative grammar,it shows the deepening of linear model and extension model,niche model and analogy model based on audience,and "multi-dimensional" narrative embodied in composite structure.From the perspective of narrative time,the narrative sequence is mainly sequence,the news time interval uses a lot of overview and omission to simplify the core of the report,and the narrative frequency is mostly repeated narration composed of a single event.In the narrative content and visual narrative language,the narrative theme covers a wide range and the narrative language is diverse,which not only breaks the shackles of time and space,but also increases the interactivity of news,and users can participate in the construction of news facts.It is found that there are some problems in Xinhuanet data news,such as insufficient data mining,lack of depth of narration,single visual form,difficult to guarantee the authenticity,unbalanced narrative theme and so on.In the future,data news narrative should pay attention to the in-depth mining of data,use technology to enrich the form of visual reports,realize interactive functions,pay attention to the transparency of news sources,and enhance the authenticity of data news.
