Research On The Media Image Construction Of Poverty Alleviation Typical Figures In People's Daily (1978-2021)

Anti poverty is a major theme in the period of China's socialist construction.Since 1978,China has gradually implemented a large-scale poverty alleviation and development policy.The form of poverty alleviation has been continuously improved and the intensity of poverty alleviation has been unprecedented.In 2020,China won the battle of poverty alleviation in an all-round way.In this great process,the people's daily presented a large number of typical characters who appeared in poverty alleviation through typical reports,which not only effectively publicized the party's poverty alleviation principles and policies,but also played a positive guiding and exemplary role in the whole society,promoted the development of poverty alleviation work,and became a vivid embodiment of China's poverty alleviation story told by the party newspaper.2021 is a critical period for China to consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively connect Rural Revitalization.At this important node,this paper takes the relevant reports of poverty alleviation typical figures in the people's daily from 1978 to 2021 as the research object,uses the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to explore the typical images constructed in the reports,and tries to find the changes,significance and shortcomings of the image construction of typical figures in the people's daily.The research takes the reports of poverty alleviation typical figures in the people's daily from 1978 to 2021 as the total sample library,and finally takes 365 reports as the research sample,and uses the framework hierarchy theory to analyze the report quantity,report layout,report genre,report theme,report tone and other contents of the sample from the three levels of high school and low school.On this basis,combined with the media image theory,this paper summarizes the poverty alleviation models constructed by the people's daily from three aspects: overall image,social image and spiritual image.The study found that the typical poverty alleviation figures constructed by the people's daily generally show the characteristics of male dominated,diverse identities and positive character.The social image is mainly divided into poverty alleviation cadres leading poverty alleviation,poverty alleviation teachers with a heart of education,scientific researchers helping poverty alleviation,social entrepreneurs enthusiastic about poverty alleviation,medical workers loving poverty alleviation and ordinary people committed to poverty alleviation,At the level of spiritual image,it shows several images: enthusiastic helper,diligent doer,firm striver,flexible innovator and selfless devotee.With the change of time,some changes have taken place in the construction of typical poverty alleviation characters in people's daily,which is mainly reflected in the more diversified characters,more prominent professional characteristics and more emphasis on personal narration.Finally,it analyzes the problems of patterning and Facebook in the construction of poverty alleviation models in people's daily,and summarizes the experience and Enlightenment of the construction of characters.
