This thesis introduces the research significance of the frequency synthesizer chip widely used in the satellite navigation system,which is represented by the global positioning system,the GLONASS navigation system,the Galileo navigation system and the Beidou satellite navigation system of China.It makes a research and analysis on the core technology involved in it.At present,in the RF front-end receiving part of antijamming satellite navigation communication terminal,frequency synthesizer plays a key role in the generation quality of mixer signal.Thesis focuses on the development and latest research results of the core frequency generation technology of the frequency synthesizer at home and abroad.Finally,for the RF front-end application of satellite navigation communication,a frequency synthesizer based on PLL technology is designed in TSMC 28nm CMOS technology.The main work of this design includes:1.Aiming at the frequency synthesizer chip applied the system,the parameters of the frequency synthesizer meeting the target performance requirements are analyzed and determined,including output frequency band range,reference clock frequency,output signal phase noise index,minimum frequency resolution,etc.According to the demand of low phase noise,the frac-N PLL using sigma delta modulation technology is determined as the basic design architecture of the system,and the system level simulation analysis is carried out.2.Based on the determined PLL structure,the circuit of its core modules,frequency discriminator,charge pump,voltage-controlled oscillator,quadrature two-frequency divider,multi-mode frequency divider,and Sigma-Delta modulator,is carried out.Design and performance simulation analysis,improve the design of the phase detection range and dead zone influence of the phase detector,and optimize the phase detection capability;in order to improve the matching degree and voltage output range of the charge pump current source,the mirror current source design uses a common The source cascode structure reduces the influence of the channel length modulation effect;the MOS transistor variable capacitor used in the design of the voltage controlled oscillator replaces the switch capacitor array to achieve broadband frequency adjustment,reducing the influence of the switch transistor on the circuit oscillation conditions;Through the combined tuning of the variable capacitor array,the tuning linearity is improved,and the influence of the fluctuation of the control voltage of the VCO on the phase noise is reduced,and the overall design effectiveness is verified by the software platform simulation.3.Completed the overall layout design and post-simulation of the frequency synthesizer and formed the core IP core of the frequency synthesizer circuit chip suitable for the RF front-end of the anti-jamming satellite navigation communication terminal.After simulation,it can cover the transceiver mixing frequency band of the anti-jamming satellite navigation and satellite communication application.,the main performance parameters achieved:phase noise?-98.6dBc/Hz@100kHz,?-113.2dBc/Hz@1MHz,output frequency range 1.1?1.7GHz.
