With the rise and development of information technology and multiculturalism,virtual idols were born.Virtualizing idol roles originally completed by real people,forming a new cultural phenomenon.In China,from the debut of idol culture to the appearance of virtual idols abroad,and then to the roots of virtual idols,it took about20 years.Virtual idols have gradually moved from the online world to the screen,from the niche to the masses.The existence and development of idols are inseparable from the efforts of their fans.In the current Chinese cultural and social context,virtual idol fan groups can reflect the younger generation's attitude towards new things,and reflect their values and aesthetics.Interest is also a manifestation of the niche cultural style.Analyzing the psychology and behavior of this group is of great significance to the phenomenon of idol culture and the actual development of the overall market.Human behavior is the external manifestation of psychological response,and studying group psychology is an important way to grasp group trends.As far as the fan groups of virtual idols are concerned,they first exist as a group,which presents group characteristics.The freedom of the network and the particularity of the group also make the psychology of virtual idol fan groups more complicated and diversified.As a two-dimensional niche group,some fans find it difficult to find a sense of identity in real life.The gathering of virtual idol fans makes them no longer " lonely person " and "wanderers".In the fan gathering,they can obtain a certain Emotional satisfaction and group belonging,individual fans will also feel the satisfaction brought about by self-identification,projection and empathy in the process of participating in idol content production.Fans also feel external pressure when they are in a group,so they make consumption and other behaviors under the influence of herd psychology and group pressure.The personalized new media platform has created a brand-new participatory culture.The behavior of fans of virtual idols is the epitome of the high concentration of this participatory culture.This group has stronger and more distinctive initiative,and it has the advantages of convenient production technology and low-cost production technology.With the blessing of the threshold operation,fans have multiple identities,and there are production behaviors that are very different from traditional audiences or real idol fans.Not only can they participate in the image and character shaping before the birth of the idol,but they can also create music,comics,videos and other forms based on the idol.In addition,virtual idol fans will also conduct specific communication and consumption behaviors,including social communication,online and offline ritual communication,and consumption behaviors triggered by personal emotions and worship emotions.Of course,as a new subculture group,virtual idol fans also have certain risks and hidden dangers while enriching cultural connotations and helping new industrial markets.In the final analysis,a virtual idol is a virtual product created artificially in order to conform to the market,which can easily cause many problems for young fans,such as difficulty in distinguishing between virtual and reality,over-immersion or excessive attention to the virtual world.
