Explore The Optimal Use Of Museum Public Space

At a time when public cultural places such as museums and cinemas in China have also been hit hard,we should pay more attention to the important role of public space in museums,strictly prevent and control,assume social responsibility,help shape public confidence,and provide a safer and more comfortable environment for the public to visit.Taking Nanjing Museum as an example,I tries to explore the ways of providing material and spiritual services to the audience in the public space of the museum.In the introduction,the concept of public space in this paper is drawn by combining the theory of public space in the field of architecture and sociology,the theory of public domain and public communication and the theory of the third space.In the first chapter,this paper discusses the transformation of museums from private space to public space from both domestic and foreign museums,and analyzes the source and present situation of museums in the use of public space at home and abroad.In the second chapter,Maslow's demand theory is introduced,and the reasons of public space heat in museums are discussed from the aspects of economy,spiritual culture and policy.In the third chapter,the problems of the Nanjing Museum's cognition and utilization of the museum's public space are analyzed,such as the lack of social attention and the lack of public nature.In the fourth chapter,the top-level design of Nanjing Museum in the public space of the museum is analyzed and the corresponding opinions are given by means of field visits,interviews and literature combination.Through the above analysis and demonstration,the shortcomings and suggestions of museums in the field of public space of museums are proved,hoping to arouse the attention of museum practitioners to the public,social and therapeutic nature of public space in museums,and hope to provide new ideas and practical significance for the future development of public space in museums in China.
