The Research Of The Public Library Public Library Digital Reference Services In Anhui Province

Reference service is one of the core operations of public libraries and an important manifestation of contemporary library service functions. With the rapid development of modern information technology, the traditional reference service developed to digital reference rapidly, digital reference services have begun to enter people’s vision. In order to meet the increasing user awareness of information, digital reference service model has gone through the asynchronous digital reference model, real-time online digital reference model and cooperative digital reference model. With the increasing user demand, Chinese public libraries have begun to carry digital reference service, and gradually create or join cooperative digital reference service alliance.However, compared with foreign countries, our digital reference service started late, there is a big gap in the service content, service pattern, service technology, quality of service, etc., and the provincial public library digital reference service develop more slowly. To understand the conduct of Anhui Public Library digital reference service levels better, this article conducted a sample investigation through the web-based survey, field visits, the actual e-mail and telephone counseling and other ways to carry out 107 cases of Anhui Province Public Library Digital Reference Service. Through the survey we found, Anhui Province Public Library carry out a low proportion of digital reference service, service model is simplex, service quality is poor, the service resource is absent, and the internal management is lagging behind, collaborative digital reference service and service standards develop very slowly, and some other issues. These questions greatly troubled the development of the digital reference service of Anhui Province public Library.On the basic of the summary of the internal and external successful experience, this paper proposed several recommendations to Anhui Province Public Library, including the establishment of cooperative digital reference service system, strengthen the knowledge base, and strengthen the development of the service standards and establish the scientific service quality evaluation system, deepen the innovation of the service model and enhance the propaganda and education to users.
