Analysis On The Development Of Library And Information Field In Jiangxi Province: The Development And Changes Of Research Scale,Quality,Strength And Theme

Under the background of information technology changing with each passing day,the new scientific and technological revolution has put forward new requirements and brought new opportunities to library and information science.At present,China has locked the construction goal of the new period in the digital transformation,and the library and information science has been closely linked with the reform of information development technology since its birth.It is helpful to find out the problems existing in the past development and find the way forward.By searching all the documents in Jiangxi province from 1980 to 2020 in the CNKI data,and by means of bibliometrics,this study analyzes the development and change of the three main directions of the subject,such as scale and quality,research strength and research theme,and summarizes the characteristics and shortcomings of the subject.Main research contents and results:Through the analysis of the total number of documents and the amount of documents issued in each stage,it is found that the scale of the subject of graphic information in our province has grown rapidly in 40 years,but the overall scale is small,and the growth rate has slowed down in recent years.According to the total citation of literature and the proportion of articles cited and C journals,it is found that the research influence and quality of graphic science in our province are also rising rapidly,but the overall influence is insufficient and the quality is on the low side.Finally,compared with the data of Anhui Province,combined with the comprehensive analysis of horizontal and vertical direction,it is found that the research scale and quality of the subject of map situation in our province are lower than that in Anhui Province,and the scale growth rate is lower than that in Anhui Province.But the research quality difference has the tendency to shrink.According to the statistics of different kinds of institutions,main institutions,main researchers,total citations,all citations and the proportion of C journals,this paper analyzes the types of main institutions and main research forces and their development and changes.It is found that the largest type of institution in our province is the university library,and the largest institution is the Jiangxi library,but the highest research quality is the school of management of Nanchang University.And the main researchers also come from the university library.Therefore,it can be found that the university hall is the mainstay of the subject of graphic information in our province.The department of graphic information in colleges and universities represents the highest research quality of the subject of graphic information in our province,while the public libraries at all levels do not effectively play the role of regular army.Through drawing the cooperation network of the main research institutions and the main authors in our province,it is found that the cooperation between the institutions and the authors in our province is less,and the cooperation is mostly concentrated in each organization,and the high-yield institutions and the authors have not played a leading role.Through the cluster analysis of the key words of the literature,the development and change of the research topics in the whole and each stage are obtained.It is found that the research theme of our province mainly revolves around the library,the context is clear,the theme is diverse,has formed a relatively complete system,and has obvious characteristics of the times.By comparing the research topics of the three main research institutions of university library,public library and graphic department,this paper analyzes the similarities and differences of the research contents of the three institutions,and finds that the inter-agency research contents of our province are not different,all of them are mainly library-centered,but the public libraries prefer to discuss their own theories and functions,while the research topics of university libraries are more diversified.Finally,it summarizes the characteristics and shortcomings in the development of graphic science in our province,and puts forward some suggestions: including strengthening the introduction and training of graphic science talents;paying attention to improving the scientific research ability of grass-roots practitioners;strengthening the support of core institutions;attaching importance to the development of graphic science departments in colleges and universities,focusing on training high-level subject talents;strengthening communication and cooperation,enhancing the cohesion of discipline institutions and authors,etc.
