As an information security technology company,Company A has been focusing on the software technology development since its establishment 20 years ago.Nevertheless,with the rapid development of the world economy and the increasing number of software enterprises in recent years,the labor cost of enterprise operation shows an increasing tendency.Against this background of ever fierce competition,software enterprises will reduce competitiveness in the market if they do not improve productivity and reduce costs..In general,the top priority strategy to improve productivity and reduce costs lies in effective project management improvement.Considering that there are very few employees from social recruitment in Company A and the backward project management methods of employees are basically obtained from the internal company,this paper makes an in-depth study on the current situation of new product development project management in Company A,aiming at analyzing the existing problems and corresponding reasons in the project management of Company A.It attempts to put forward corresponding optimization solutions for these problems,so as to improve the project management of Company A.Scholars from at home and abroad have carried out a number of research related to software enterprises' project development process management.Therefore,in combination with relevant theories and practices,this research attempts to improve the software development project management of Company A.Based on the theories of new software product development in combination with Company A's actual situation,this paper analyzes the existing problems and suggests optimal solutions.Specifically,first of all,this paper reviews the software project management theory and the existing software development process,including the systematic exposition of the software project knowledge,waterfall model and stage-gate management theory in the key development process of the project.Meanwhile,by analyzing the software development process of Company A,this paper summarizes the current management situation of software development in Company A,namely,the frequently overdued development process,the uncleared project priority,and the poor project quality.Secondly,it analyzes these issues laying in the new product development of Company A.Finally,it optimizes the overall process of new product development to improve efficiency through stage-gate management.In addition,the PDCA approach is adopted to improve the risk management,demand management,communications management,and project schedule management,which improves the efficiency of product development and the quality of product delivery,thus reducing the cost of product development.In sum,through this research,Company A not only acquires the ability to improve the problems existing in the project management,but also improves the project management level and reduces the cost of the Company A,thus finally improving the production efficiency and competitiveness of it.Moreover,it serves as a reference for other project management of software development.
