Study On Integration Of Project Management And Workflow Management In PLM

Reasonable process model is the premise for product development by order. This thesis studies the workflow management and project management features and their relations in PLM, and proposes a multi-view integration framework and process management model, which are based on workflow management and project management, in order to meet the needs of product development process management in modern manufacturing enterprises.Firstly, background, current situation and existing problems of the integrated process management are studied. And based on the analysis of process management techniques commonly used, this paper proposes a process management method integrating workflow management and project management in PLM. Secondly, several key aspects of integrated technology, including the basic of integration, functional technology system , the framework and model, are discussed in detail.(1) Feasibility of integration between workflow management and project management is analyzed, by studying task flow and hierarchical structure in the product development process and their relationship.(2) A technology system of the integrated process management is proposed in the paper. It is based on longitudinal project management and horizontal Workflow Management. And the key technologies are provided.(3) A multi-view integration framework and working mechanism are introduced for the process management. Views of the project management and workflow management are the main cores of the multi-view integration framework, and they divide levels of task and plan workflow for the product development process management.(4) A model for the multi-view integration framework is established. The model describes the product development process, with project breakdown structure and multi-level workflow space as the cores.Finally, based on the above general architecture and related key technologies, a practical prototype system is given as an example to testify the advancement and practicability of this thesis's research achievements.
