Application Research Of Gate Management On Software Project Development

Due to the fashionable and popular On-Line Game, huge number of info and data were set and processed. Especially, for the most of company profits, the data of On-Line Game Earning (OLGE) is very important,which means quick and real process is necessary. Giant Interactive Group Inc sets up a professional project team to design a system for receiving, comparing, calculating, feeding back and counting the On-Line Game Earning in real time.Software project management is based on the software engineering. Normally, for software project management, local companies succeed in the software design, but not good at project management. Especially, local company should improve the capacity for managing Project Life-cycle. Focused on software design process to the data of OLGE, we introduce Stage-Gate System (SGS) in the paper to separate the whole project into five steps. We set five Gates to control the whole Project Life-cycle. Meanwhile, after the work breakdown, we analyze and clarify the detail managing questions of time, scope, cost and quality in each stage and sub-stages, then introduce Deming ring and DRSI process to manage the jobs. Based on the skills, strict and standard management can be applied to the detail works, which helps to ensure the milestones and control the whole Project Life-cycle. At last, we analyze and value the results compared with the similar historical cases in company.
