The fusion of visible and infrared double-light images makes full use of the advantages of visible and infrared imaging technologies, and effectively improves the image quality and the human eye's ability to recognize and understand the scene,it has great application value in both military and civil fields. This paper proposes to use FPGA as the core to realize the dual-light fusion real-time display system. The image collected by the visible light camera is input through the SDI interface, and the serial data is converted into parallel data through the IP core. The infrared camera collects14-bit parallel data through compression processing into 8 bits, and then buffers to DDR3 through pixel fusion processing, and finally passes through a dedicated video encoding chip output to VGA and HDMI to achieve real-time high-definition display. The research contents of this article are as follows:(1)Research on infrared compression theory, chromaticity space conversion theory and fusion algorithm theory, and realize the overall system design;(2)Carry out device selection according to the system scheme, then design the system hardware schematic diagram according to the chip manual, draw the PCB according to the schematic diagram, and finally build the hardware platform;(3)Divide different modules according to their functions, and use Verilog to design logic codes, including visible light image input module, infrared image input module,dual-light image fusion module,DDR3 buffer module and video display drive module;(4)Use Model Sim to simulate the code, debug it on the board, and verify the display effect.
