At present,the promotion of education equity in rural and urban areas in China is constantly advancing,but there are still many problems in the current situation of education in rural areas.Because the government,schools,parents and other parties do not pay enough attention to the development of students' reading ability,the reading environment is relatively poor,which makes a large number of rural primary and secondary school students lack of reading interest and reading ability,and the school library as the main place for primary and secondary school students to read,also for various reasons,does not play its due role.This paper studies the reading situation of rural primary and secondary school students and the current situation of the construction of rural primary and secondary school libraries,and makes suggestions for this.As a case,these towns belong to the region with moderate economic development,which is more representative.By investigating 8 primary schools,3 junior middle schools and 2 nine-year schools from the countryside,the author found that the rural primary and secondary school students have a strong interest in reading,but at present,the rural students have no books to read at home,no funds to buy books,and no good channels to read.At the same time,the primary and secondary school libraries in the countryside have insufficient competent departments Attention,the corresponding social environment is poor,the level of schools in rural areas is poor and so on.The author believes that the construction of rural primary and secondary school libraries needs to be paid more attention to by the competent departments,and the reading interest of rural primary and secondary school students needs to be continuously cultivated,and the management level of rural primary and secondary school libraries needs to be strengthened.Only in this way can rural primary and secondary school libraries help students improve their reading ability and promote the concept of educational equity to be further realized.
