| With the state paying close attention to the elderly,some elderly people choose to give up their lives in order to take care of their children and the third generation,and migrate to other places to take care of their offspring.For the "Lao Piao zu",they not only need to adapt to a strange living environment,and generated a strong sense of drift and loneliness.In the face of such prominent social issues,the news media have carried out reporting activities related to this issue,in which the relevant reports of the People's Daily Online have certain representativeness,but due to the insufficient number of reports,there are problems with the contents of the reports,as a result,the public pay less attention to this group,and there may even be misunderstanding.Therefore,it is necessary and social significance to make a discourse analysis of " Lao Piao zu " reports,find out the problems and put forward improvement measures.In this paper,170 reports of "Lao Piao zu" from 2011 to 2020 are quantified,and the quantity,genre,source and content of the reports are described in a macroscopic way,with the help of Teun A Van Dijk's discourse analysis theory,this paper analyzes the reports from four dimensions:macro-structure,micro-structure,style and rhetoric and media image:The choice of news events,news personages,the restatement of the professional's speech and the comment viewpoint are affected by the subjective intention of the disseminator;The children's indifference to their parents' spiritual needs and the practical problems brought about by living in different places are the important reasons that lead to the spiritual plight of the "Lao Piao zu" group;the media images of the "Lao Piao zu" formed by the reports tend to be negative,"Lao Piao zu" lacks a sense of belonging to the city they live in,lacks a sense of identity with the community they live in,and has conflicts with their children in the process of long-term coexistence.Through the analysis of the reports of "Lao Piao zu" on People's Daily Online,this paper finds that the discourse structure of "Lao Piao zu" overemphasizes a single theme,the true demands of "Lao Piao zu" are ignored,and the contradictory plots are emphasized in the reports In the aspect of cognitive model,there are negative stereotypes,the report is out of the real living state of the group,and in the aspect of social understanding,the propagator's ideology affects the syntactic structure of the report,children of "Lao Piao zu" become a problem for others.In view of this,People's Daily Online needs to fully recognize its own role in social change at the macro level:to adhere to the policy of publicity and fact reporting,to solve problems and lead by example,to play a constructive role in news reporting;In the early interview process to promote the style of continuous in-depth:the rational use of network information,in-depth social life for on-the-spot interviews;In the process of reporting,we should continue to implement the principles of news writing:to maintain a calm and objective style of writing,to express the views of all sides in a balanced way and to limit the use of literary forms. |
