Study On The Construction Of "Anti-Epidemic" Report In People's Daily

In January 2020,the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan quickly spread across the country,having a negative impact on people's life,health,safety and social order.In order to stabilize social emotions and respond to the public crisis,People's Daily and other mainstream media media actively launched reports.Taking the "Anti-epidemic" report of People's Daily,the "anti-epidemic" report from January 21 to April 28-2020,analyzes the characteristics and rules of the discourse system from the perspective of text analysis and discourse construction,and summarizes the experience and enlightenment of the news media to deal with sudden public health events.The study found that the discourse system 's "anti-epidemic" report in People' s Daily is based on text and constructed through cognitive discourse,narrative discourse,critical discourse and ideological discourse.Text level: outline the facts of the epidemic,set issues;vocabulary selection highlights the leadership of the Party and strengthen the effectiveness of the anti-epidemic;metaphor strategy to stimulate collective awareness and define anti-epidemic action.Context level:build the dual cognitive perspective of "rescue" and "development";multiple narrative discourse to restore the facts of anti-epidemic,arouse collective emotion;give international significance to anti-epidemic,launch "China Plan";maintain ideology and highlight institutional advantages.In general,the construction of the "anti-epidemic" report discourse system presents the following characteristics: highlighting the political tendency of "people's dominant position","collectivism" based factual construction,emotional recognition based on "national integration",and discourse maintenance based on global vision.The social background,media function and positioning as well as history and culture have jointly shaped the discourse system of "anti-epidemic" reporting in the People's Daily.
