Since December 2019,COVID-19 has been in a global outbreak.All kinds of rumors about the epidemic spread on the Internet,and the public's physiology and psychology have changed.Meanwhile,it also brings new challenges to the guidance of public opinion and value of China's news media.Based on the theory of narratology,this paper takes the report of "AntiCOVID-19" in the short video of Tik Tok of CCTV News as the research object,using text analysis method and case analysis method,this paper focuses on the anti-epidemic hero image and narrative strategy constructed by the short video of CCTV News,suggestions are given for improvement of the deficiencies in the hero narrative.The research shows that the short video of CCTV News mainly shapes the collective hero image in the fight against the epidemic in China.That is,rescuing the dying and healing the wounded medical personnel,selfless dedication of the ordinary people and the party and government cadres to do their best for the people three kinds of heroes.Through the formation of these heroes,CCTV News shows to the world the media image of the whole nation's people under the leadership of the Party and the government to work together to fight against the COVID-19.When constructing anti-epidemic heroes,CCTV News mainly adopts three narrative strategies: firstly,attract audiences through non-linear segment narrative.This strategy aims to capture the audience's attention by focusing on the core segments,highlighting the narrative framework and extending the discourse space.Secondly,the hero image is shaped by the scene narrative.The basic scene of narrative includes time,space and characters,In terms of time sequence,the short video adopts two strategies: sequential narration,narrative and story time synchronization;In terms of space,two sub-strategies,"anastomosis" and "wandering",are adopted in the short video;In terms of characters,the short video adopts the narrative strategy of highlighting the subject status of the interviewee and downplaying the reporter's lens.Thirdly,spread the spirit of heroism through emotional narration.The short video aims to construct emotional narrative and spread the spirit of heroism through the combination of signifier and signified of nonverbal signs.There are also some problems in the short video of CCTV News against the epidemic,such as the gap between narrative length and narrative depth,and the discordant formation of single mode and diverse audience.In this regard,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions for improvement.First,it realizes the balance between the integrity of narrative and the depth of theme through three ways: making a single short video,launching a series of short videos,and organically combining short videos and short comments.Second,the typified and fixed narrative text is broken,and the visual effects are laid out to enhance the artistic nature of hero narrative.
