Research On Image Narrative Of Public Emergencies News

Since the appearance of the image,it has had an important impact on the human world,it is our perspective of the history of a mirror.The appearance and development of photography have enriched the form of images and the way of news reporting.The news image occupies a special position in the news report with its unique form.On the one hand,it breaks the dullness of the traditional written report,brings the audience more interesting news reading experience,on the other hand,it makes up the deficiency of the traditional written information,and can directly reproduce the scene when the news happens.From the point of view of image narration,this paper takes the images used in news reports in public emergencies as the research object,and uses the theories of narratology,image narratology and spatial narratology as the analytical tools,through content analysis and other research methods,to explore how the images used in news reports of public emergencies are narrated.Specifically,this paper is to analyze the news report images of public emergencies in the news media to reveal how the news images describe the public emergencies,in this way,the general rule of selecting images in news reporting practice is revealed.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The introduction includes the source of the topic,the significance of the research,the research method and the definition of the research object.Both the development of technology and the support of policy have brought rich images to the news report,and the extensive use of news images has provided the possibility for the image narration.The first chapter mainly discusses the reasons why news images can be narrated in public emergencies.In this chapter,I analyze the classification of news images,the language-picture relationship in news images and the spatio-temporal transformation in news images.The second chapter focuses on how to narrate the news images of public emergencies.In this chapter,I analyze the narrators,characters,narrative time line and rhetoric in the news images of public emergencies.These four aspects interact with each other,from making news images to form a complete narrative of public emergencies The third chapter is to analyze the impact of news image narrative in the dissemination of public emergencies.In the report of unexpected events,the news image narrative strengthens the media’s agenda setting to the unexpected events,it also enlarges the public opinion about the unexpected public events,and finally strengthens the public’s memory and recollection of the unexpected public events.This paper finds that news image narration has some similarities with news text narration in some aspects of narration,but news image narration is different from text narration,the vividness and intuitiveness of the image enhance its narrative ability,and it is easy to arouse the public’s memory and recollection of the public emergency.
