As China is increasingly being pushed to the center of the world stage,more and more foreign people choose to come to China to study and work.According to statistics from the Ministry of Education,in the ten years from2010 to 2020,the number of international students in China has almost doubled.These international students will record and share their lives on the Internet platform while living in China.Some of the more well-known foreign bloggers have emerged among them.They have attracted a lot of fans' attention with their novel and unique perspectives and rich and interesting content.During the epidemic,some foreign bloggers took the initiative to speak out for China and became a powerful supplement to mainstream media and the backbone of the national image construction both inside and outside.Nowadays,the right to speak in the international public opinion field is still firmly in the hands of Western countries,and China's overseas image is mostly constructed by foreign media.Foreign media will report news about China based on the media framework,and often label China's image.my country has long been in a disadvantaged position of being "otherwise" in the field of international public opinion.During the new crown pneumonia epidemic,foreign official media reported a lot of "stigmatization" in China,and published a large number of news reports on topics such as China as the source of the virus and falsified diagnosis data in China,which greatly harmed China.The emotions of the people.The Chinese people are eager to respond loudly and vocally,but due to Internet usage habits and language barriers,the response effect is not obvious,and our mainstream media is slightly inferior in controlling and guiding international public opinion.In this context,short videos taken by grassroots foreign bloggers related to the epidemic have become one of the windows for truly displaying domestic epidemic prevention and control.Foreign bloggers actively construct a positive image of China's fight against the epidemic in various ways,correct the wrong arguments of foreign media,break the Western stereotypes of manufacturing in China,and strive to call on the world to treat China equally.In the context of globalization and new media,we should attach importance to the significance of ordinary "others" to the construction of Chinese image.They have the identity of "others" and understand Chinese culture,and can eliminate the cultural gap between China and foreign countries from the standpoint of a third party.At the same time,the content produced by foreign bloggers is the stories around ordinary people,and they have a sense of familiarity and closeness.Even the global topic of the new crown pneumonia epidemic can be explained from a personal level.This dissemination method that dilutes official colors can enable China and foreign countries to achieve truly equal,rational,and friendly communication,and promote exchanges between different cultures.Through this new crown pneumonia epidemic,the mainstream media also paid attention to the group of foreign bloggers,and began to recruit foreign bloggers to join the external communication matrix.This article sorts out the active grassroots foreign blogger groups on Sina Weibo,and selects 10 grassroots foreign bloggers who have more than500,000 followers and posted more than 3 short videos related to the epidemic,and sort out short videos related to the epidemic A total of 95 entries.The content analysis method is used to study the characteristics of ordinary "others" constructing China's anti-epidemic image,and by analyzing the ways and characteristics of "others" constructing China's antiepidemic image,try to summarize the experience that can be used for reference by my country's official media.However,when combing short video texts,we also found that there are also some problems in the short video dissemination of foreign bloggers.We must attach great importance to these problems and strengthen guidance so that the voice of "others" can better help China's external communication.
