Since 1990 s,information accessibility has attracted the attention of developed countries.More and more countries have become the goal of promoting information accessibility by allowing more vulnerable groups such as the disabled and the elderly to gain equal access to information through the Internet and continue to create value for society.The development of information barrier-free in China started later than that in developed countries.Even though there is still a gap,the development of information barrier-free construction is gaining attention and help from all walks of life in China and has made corresponding achievements.As an information knowledge dissemination center containing numerous digital information resources,public library websites shoulder the responsibility of narrowing the social information gap.It is one of the duties of the library website to realize the barrier-free information,so that vulnerable groups including the disabled and the elderly can obtain and use information equally and indiscriminately,and it is also the premise of building a fair and harmonious information society.Firstly,on the basis of analyzing and mastering the research results of website information accessibility in academic circles at home and abroad,combining with the characteristics of library websites,this paper defines the meaning of library website information accessibility,and puts forward the construction goal and significance of library website information accessibility construction.Secondly,through the combination of automatic analysis tools and manual detection methods,we can understand the information barrier-free construction of library websites in China,and analyze the existing problems and reasons of information barrier-free of library websites in China.Finally,combined with the problems existing in the information barrier-free construction of public library websites in China at present,this paper puts forward the working framework and measures to promote the information barrier-free reconstruction of library websites in China,so as to promote the level of information barrier-free construction of library websites in China.Finally,the article puts forward the following suggestions on strengthening the information barrier-free construction of public library websites: firstly,it is necessary to improve the barrier-free technology construction of websites,and enhance the perceptibility,operability,understandability and robustness of websites.Secondly,we should improve the website service function,and open up barrier-free browsing mode and foreign language browsing mode.Website services should also be considered for vulnerable groups in information acquisition: providing retrieval classification function,setting retrieval methods such as voice input,navigation bar to guide the function of special groups,reader service guide,consulting service and resource recommendation service should also open up their proprietary fields for special groups.In the construction of library resources,libraries should pay attention to the information needs of vulnerable groups in information acquisition,and improve the construction of resource pool for visually impaired readers and the elderly.Finally,the evaluation activities of information barrier-free construction of public library websites are carried out regularly.Some safeguard measures are needed to improve the accessibility of public library website information.First of all,we should improve the laws and regulations of barrier-free construction and improve the top-level design of information barrier-free.Secondly,we should create a barrier-free social atmosphere and a barrier-free information environment based on people.Finally,we should increase investment in barrier-free construction and ensure financial support for barrier-free construction.
