Under the background of digital age, digital reading materials are developing vigorously, and parent-child reading also shows a digital trend. Some Internet giants have rushed into the field of parent-child reading, developing a dazzling array of mobile Apps for children. These mobile Apps covered multiple scenarios of children's learning and reading, which has turned smart devices into early education machines for children, and also led to children's dependence on smart devices instead of their parents. In this process,parent-child communication was weakened and brought problems such as insufficient interaction and tense relationship between parents and children.Based on the above problems, this paper takes parent-child reading as the entry point, conducts design research on reading Apps for parent-child co-reading based on the theory of emotional design,so as to promote cooperative reading and co-creation reading between parents and children.Firstly, this paper summarizes the main parent-child reading interaction patterns to provide ideas for design practice;Secondly,Using case analysis method to analyze main parent-child reading Apps at home and abroad.Meanwhile,Analyzing the application of emotional design in digital reading Apps to provide design reference.Afterwards,Using questionnaire survey on target users to explore their reading needs, and then determining final concept orientation based on the survey result. Finally,Proposing the design strategy of parent-child reading Apps based on emotional design, and conducting design practice--"Smart Reading".This paper studies the interaction design of parent-child reading Apps from three aspects: emotional design,parent-child reading and parent-child interaction, with the purpose of strengthening the emotional communication between parents and children when using parent-child reading Apps.It is hoped that the design strategy and practice for parent-child reading Apps on this paper can play a guiding role in relevant design research,so as to effectively promote parent-child interaction and communication.
