From Promoting Professional Progress To Fighting War With News

In the 1930 s,the Chinese press created a new force,the left-wing group of journalists.In the writing of journalism history,the left-wing journalist group has never been absent,but they only occupy a few words,so that we don't really understand this group.Regarding how to define this group,why did they take the left-wing path? What activities have been undertaken,what topics have been discussed,and why are they dissolved? At present,the answers in the academic community are highly repetitive and the details are unknown.This article takes the three left-wing journalist groups of the China Journalism Research Association,the Press Symposium,and the China Left-wing Journalists Union as research objects,and closely follows the transformation of the activities of the left-wing journalist group between 1931-1936 in an attempt to clarify the historical face of this group.Providing New Cases for the Thought Transformation of Free Intellectuals in the Anti-Japanese War.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part mainly introduces the background,significance,methods,and ideas of the study,and delimits the scope of the left-wing journalist group,laying a foundation for further research.The second part studies the first group of left-wing journalists in history and their community: China Journalism Research Association and its' platform: <Literary News>.Looking at the activities of this group,It can be seen that the topics that the original left-wing journalists were concerned about were academic journalism.They are determined to make new creations in the press and promote the progress of China's journalism.The third part focuses on the transformation of the activities of the Press Symposium.At first,the Press Symposium advocated the establishment of new journalism,criticized the commercialization of newspapers and periodicals,and promoted journalist introspection and self-education.A series of results were achieved.However,with the acceleration of Japan's invasion of China,the group of left-wing journalists under national disaster has temporarily shelved the goal of promoting professional progress and has embarked on the road of journalistic resistance.Understanding this transition will help to clarify the truth of the left-wing journalist group In addition to their historical appearance,their activities also promoted the discourse system of the National Anti-Japanese War in the press to replace journalistic professionalism such as "newspaper independence" and "news supremacy."The fourth part focuses on the Chinese left-wing journalists alliance under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.This group overlaps with many concepts of Chinese journalism research in the early days of establishment.It can be said to have received the banner of proletarian journalism research from the China Journalism Research Association,but with the approaching war and the change of the Communist Party 's cultural line,they accepted the view that the news serves politics,and went underground to fight against the KMT 's news blockade and fight for the union of the Communist Party of China and the majority of patriotic organizations.The last part summarizes the transformation of the activities of the left-wing journalist group from the promotion of journalistic career to fighting war with news.By analyzing the historical reasons for the change,it shows the deeper historical face of this group,and further explain the ideal and responsibility of progressive free intellectuals in the face of national difficulties.
